poppejans··on I refuse to let Amazon define Rust
Ashley has been really great for the Rust community, isn't currently employed by a massive corporation, and has some really solid views & principles on how to empower open source work. (See some of her talks) Empowering open source work on Rust is exactly what the Rust foundation is supposed to do, which is why I'd really have preferred a Rust foundation with Ashley as ED.

Not let them have the foundation chair. I think Ashley would've made a great chairwoman, but she just might not have wanted to become chairwoman of the foundation.

What countries are you licensed to operate in? Some countries will also punish the player for playing on unregulated gambling sites, so it would be nice to know which countries you're licensed to operate in.

Your investment creates no value, this is less like synthetic stocks, and more like horse track betting. Just like with betting, you bet on some companies (horses). The bets then go into a pool (of which visionrare takes 20%). Based on the performance of the company (or horse) you pick, you get paid from the pool.

I'd be surprised if this didn't get regulated as gambling if a government watchdog decided to look into this.

Oh wow, the people that are are happy with things as they are and want to "conserve" those things are happier than the people that are downtrodden under the current system and thus want to change it.

Who could've guessed.

poppejans··on Show HN: Relay – Event-driven DevOps automation
What made you go for yaml rather than your own DSL? For a service that's as programmable as relay, it seems nice to have better support for branching control flow for example.
