The text was really small but also garbled/twisted in weird ways. Looking back it may have been an upscaling issue possibly, I don't know, I just expected a "verified" title to run well and be playable with default settings.
The whole verified thing can't be trusted. I tried to play CyberPunk on my deck. The on-screen text is unreadable, the framerate is highly unstable and all in all it's just a bad experience. I ended up signing up to nVidia Geforce Now and finished it on there. Hogwarts legacy was just as unplayable, textures failing to load, bad framerates, bugs and crashes. I don't have the deck anymore because I can't trust that "verified" games are going to be playable.
> In places where JS is truly useful, that is when the UI is more than a text document, SEO is not a concern or possibility.
I don't think you're thinking about this. e-commerce is more than just a document and SEO is massively important there but javascript makes the user experience miles better; Think product variation selectors, bulk pricing selectors, product filtering, realtime cart, etc, etc. It's insane to say we shouldn't use new tech so that the search engines can index us, do we just forever stick with what we had 15 years ago and never progress? Madness.
> the 'lower customer densities' twist is interesting. I wonder what creates that situation. Maybe people want to rush their purchases when in a crowd?
I know when I'm in a crowded environment I spend much less time browsing and just grab the stuff I need and get out the way. This sort of feels intuitive to me.
The people benefiting from from these millions are tax payers just like you. You may have differing priorities but that in no way gives you the right to decide what public money is spent on. You're expressing a very self-centered view. Try to step outside your own needs for a moment and understand that everyone has their own rich lives, desires, and needs and that they are all just as valid as yours are.
Librela gave us another year with our old girl and allowed to her to walk again. It was absolutely life-altering for her and we're forever greatful for the extra time we had with her because of it. Some are saying it's not a miracle drug but honestly, a monthly injection that gave us back our girl for a year is 100% a miracle to me.

Wow! How do such fundamental errors make it into these apps? Did _nobody_ who was working on it have an previous experience? Or is this another case of upper management ignoring the experts and pushing terrible ideas regardless?
Yeah about 2 years, I think it was just outside their warranty by a few months. The original experience was very frustrating and really put me off apple. That trust hasn't been recovered but I'm glad I know my rights now.
I got an M1 macbook pro when they first came out, in about April of this year the screen suddenly stopped working without warning. External display worked fine, internal one just showed random colours. Took it to apple for repair, they tried various things and said the mainboard need to be replaced at a cost of something like £700. I refused and just put the laptop away until someone at work mentioned that in the UK we have the consumer rights law that gives us 6 years for which we can expect our purchases to continue to function properly. I messaged apple support and mentioned my consumer law rights under the law and the immediately dispatched a box for me to send the laptop to them and had it collected the next day. In under a week it was back, repaird (new display, top case) at no cost to me. It's amazing what a difference knowing your rights makes!
What a strange assumption to make. No it doesn't work like this at all. The video is saved to the SD card in the aircraft, which you then remove and insert it into your computer to download the files.
> Presumably the same product team that decided we didn't need a headphone jack, as we could just buy more overpriced and profitable dongles and cables.
They were right. I haven't missed the headphone jack once. Bluetooth earphones are cheap and easy to come by, if you want premium sound you can buy an expensive set. The headphone jack was outdated and not needed. If you REALLY want a wired set, a dongle is <£10 from apple or <£5 from amazon. This is a stupid complaint.
Dex gives you a "proper" multi-window desktop with things like a start button, task bar, system bar, etc. It's very different to the iPad experience when the iPad is connected to a display and peripherals and much better.
I think they're using the term thin client incorrectly in the article. While it obviously means a low power terminal that connects to a remote server, they're using it to mean compute that you carry around and connect it to any monitor and input devices that you happen across. Dex is samsung's implementation of this and it works very well indeed.
it's actually much easier than this makes out. Sodastream bottle, some kind of cloth like a tea towel, pillowcase or even a sock over the end, let 'er rip and you have a chunk of dry ice.
DO we have to expect _that_ level of understanding from the agent, though? If my wife said that to me, I may have a good chance of queuing up the song she has in mind, but anyone else? No chance. I don't expect tools like this to be able to understand cryptic requests and always come to the right answer. I'm happy if I can request a song or an action, or anything else in the same way i might ask another human who doesn't know me intimately.
