The first part of that sentence is opposite to what the author here suggests.
What did I miss? Does Stoicism claim everything in the universe is already perfect? That seems like a bold (counter-intuitive) claim.
"We want to set City Hall on fire, we want to bump a blimp into the Golden Gate Bridge and we want to jump a hook-and-ladder truck over Lefty O’Doul Bridge with Roger Moore on it’ … and they were seriously like, ‘OK.’”
My main question is, where did this San Francisco go? I'd love for the city to create more memorable moments because the city is special. But today, this ad would've been buried in CEQA lawsuits. Hell, parking in the wrong public spot could get your car keyed by some irate millionaire[1].

P.S: I'm sorry Lisboetas..you are already getting swamped by Digi Nomads, but it's true.
Something that will filter out the anger, but keep the insight. I vaguely remember someone posting about a tldr for twitter. Anyone know of tools like that?
Shoutout to Ricky and co!
It can still be a liiitle hit or miss depending on the club host. But a good host on a pomodoro session with actual verbal check-ins is 100x better than coffee.
Fantastic body doubling service
What? They're giving away cars just to cut in line? That seems a pointlessly costly deal. Maybe I'm not understanding the scam correctly.
I personally don't think this is possible unless these AI Companies translate from just bits to atoms but that's not out of the question[1].

I wish the restaurants and delivery drivers made more money in the exchange but none of that is the machines fault (AI doesn't set Doordash's margins).
At the end of it all, humans are mostly responsible for other humans' misery. No AI required.
On top of your analysis of commands that might flag conflicting commands, shouldn't we also be analyzing the radar to make sure there aren't any obviously conflicting paths?
I saw your comment about pilot intentionality being the major time-saver but in a situation like the Potomac River crash, the intentionality and knowledge may have been a unintentional headfake for a system like yours i.e "Yes I see the CRJ".
Maybe it's 80-20 for you, with the Potomac situation being especially rare.
As a regular passenger and for someone with a little bit of drone autonomy experience, the fact that this is possible sounds insane to me. I just assumed there was something blocking the controllers from putting two flights on the same pathway (like little planes on a board?).
My main question is, how does the "noticing" work now? What did the Controllers see that alerted them to what was unfolding?

P.S: I especially question the mental faculties of someone who can't see other angles to a problem. China's hegemony is the mainstream opinion, it's obvious. Maybe try to question what you're not seeing now.
This seems...not true. The Phillipines especially would like a word. Most of China's neighbors are begging for more American Hegemony (America is just not good at it anymore). China's industrial prowess is clear, but it's also true that. China (esp the CCP) has a lot more to lose from a direct confrontation with America. America could lose a president, China will lose a whole regime.
This was definitely a glaring safety issue and the company should review all its failure modes that show up in public but an ”emotional” response this was not.
In reality, CNN and MSNBC ideologically agree as much as FoxNews and Newsmax in that they don't. And CNN especially invented optimizing coverage for attention over viewpoint consistency (esp between 2000 and 2015).
It's always funny to hear about media bias with obvious very large alternatives available. It was very eery hearing about the Media's supposed Liberal biases through the 2020 and 2024 election campaigns with Fox News fully dominating viewership numbers [1]. And now here we go again with print media.

A big, dense, eclectic city that is hyper-functional is my dream. Actually having one of those in America would be amazing. sighs in New York.
I mean, we have…for debatable definitions of “terrorism”.
Am I the only one here saying that this is no reason to preemptively pass legislation? That just seems crazy to me. Imagined horrors aren't real horrors?
I disagree with this administrations approach, I think we should be vigilant, and keeping people who stand to gain so much from the tech in the room, doesn't seem like a good idea, but other than that, I haven't seen any real reason to do more than wait and be vigilant?
It's a signal we aren't measuring and it's massively affecting rider behavior.
