This book has been really helpful for me. I recommend it.
pierrend··on Why did infinite scroll fail at Etsy?
It annoys me too. In some website you can't see the footer, read it and then click its links. It keeps disappearing while I scroll down as fast as I can (keyboard or mouse).

pierrend··on French Government To Use PostgreSQL, LibreOffice In Free Software Adoption Push
As a French civil servant I can say it doesn't fill our needs. We have difficulties to work with documents we receive sometimes created with LibreOffice, sometimes Microsoft Office. Documents are full of errors from bad imports and exports. I know many people loosing tons of time trying to fix the documents. An average French civil servant has many documents to write every month.

I also think $5 is way too cheap for your ebook. OK I understand you don't want to turn a profit. But price is not only for you. It is also for the market. It is viewed by customers/users as a quality element. Low price = Ho! That's just a tiny ebook = Why should I care? (I bought it, looks very interesting)
pierrend··on India Launches Beta Version of Its Data Site
> "make available all of it's data freely" Not "all" the data. Many datasets should not be shared. Good reasons include: a)security reasons b)ecology reasons (don't say where endangered species are) c)personal data d) current trial
pierrend··on I've finally implemented the command I keep typing all day: gti
Same here! It's true even if it's a capital letter. Like "HEllo", "BEst REgards", "THanks"...

About "git", for me left-index, right-middle, left-middle.

For people interested by this subject you can look at the free online MIT course "6.002x: Circuits and Electronics". See https://www.edx.org/courses/MITx/6.002x/2012_Fall/about It is a good course covering all the "Middle Age" part from the answer linked on stackexchange.com
