peteysd··on Clojure game development wiki
The owner of this page probably should have added some content to it before posting to HN.

As those old Head & Shoulders commercials so wisely profess - you never get a second chance to make a first impression.

peteysd··on Ask HN: We're developing an Android game. Should we start promoting it?
Absolutely. You should be developing a marketing plan at the same time you're developing the app. Figure out the best way to generate some positive buzz, be it through blog updates, screenshots showing your progress, etc.

Don't go overboard, but start getting people excited! And while you won't be executing a good portion of your marketing plan until the game is released, you need to know what that plan is.

peteysd··on Turn Any Web Browser Into a Phone With JQuery
Hmm. Not quite any browser. Only those that run Flash, it seems.
peteysd··on Woot To The AP: Nice Story About Our Sale — You Now Owe Us $17.50
It's not hard. With a tool like UrlRewriter.Net or similar, custom URL schemes are quite easy. And I believe the MVC framework for .Net has custom routes built in.
peteysd··on Bespin Bookmarklet: edit code or other text on any page with a textarea
Same here.
peteysd··on Common css mistakes - no more
I find the image used in the "collapsing margins" post referenced in this posting to be in extremely poor taste.
peteysd··on Clever "down for maintenance" page
I like the nearly-hidden "That's what she said." Perhaps not the most appropriate, but still funny.
peteysd··on 5" Android Tablet $155
No accelerometer either. I'm not sure how it knows whether to display in landscape or portrait. Says that it's "controlled by software".
peteysd··on Appbackr, Finance your app - Wholesale digital marketplace
There isn't any information about the people behind appbackr on your site. I would never enter into a financial agreement with a completely unknown entity.

I think you need to personalize the site - let us know who exactly we're dealing with.

Other than that - it's an interesting concept. I think the description of how it works could be made clearer, but it's an interesting idea.

peteysd··on Help my startup pick a new logo
It would help to know what your business name is, and what your business does. Otherwise there is nothing to base a decision on, other than "it's pretty."
peteysd··on Ask HN: Rate my startup keywordenvy.com
The design is unpolished, especially those big rectangle buttons.

I also cannot easily find any information about your company anywhere on the site. I wouldn't sign up for service with a company that I know nothing about.

peteysd··on Ask HN: Rate my Startup www.birdpie.com (Updated)
I like the site design. Simple and clean. I agree with the other poster that commented that some of the jargon was misleading.

Some of the information on the Help page should probably be made more prominent.

peteysd··on Ask HN: DropZap has a high rating in the US app store. How should I market it?
Marketing is something that you probably should have been thinking about well before you released the game. That said, at least you're thinking about it now. A lot of app developers think that "if you build it, they will come" and with all the noise in the App Store, that's just not going to happen.

Presumably your game has a specific target audience in mind, so the goal of your marketing efforts should be to reach out to that audience. Figure out where your audience lives online.

As a last resort, you could drop a link onto HN and hope people follow it. ;)

peteysd··on Signs your code sucks
Ironic, no?
peteysd··on Your World of Text, my current side project. Requires FF3+ or Safari 4, I think.
Backspace doesn't work for me but everything else does - I'm on Chrome.
peteysd··on Stack Overflow for Food. My new site for food questions.
Uh, horrible glaring typo? What's an anwser?
