this kind of concern is a great reminder to backup your google account, because you never know what reason google might have to lock you out of your digital life, often we see this scenarios where even their google fi account is locked so they are even locked out of their own phone number

I tested the new game porting kit on a Mac mini M2 and was surprised I was able to run Cyberpunk 2077 and it was running really well, I can imagine that more powerful M processors will be awesome, so the argument of games might go away soon
I'm in the same boat as you, only youtube left, I moved all services away from google and I'm working actively to move us away from Google Cloud, funny, I think I started using google around 2001 and now I want to stop using it because of all these incidents. Also their OSS sucks, they won't take any PRs from externals.
I play OpenRCT2 with my daughter quite often, it works great, I recommend the OpenGL render engine since it allows for additional zoom and the kids love to see the people walking around and puking all over the park.

I was that “let’s use google cloud” guy, but more recently after so many horror stories like this I’m more of a “let’s not use google cloud” guy. I rarely see people complaining about AWS or Azure on HN
