perarneng··on Micron CEO Says Memory Supply Will Be Much Tighter in 2027 and 2028 Than in 2026
The ripple effects are going to be big. Its going to be rough for any company building products with RAM in it. People will hold on to what they got.
perarneng··on Gemini 4 Argon
Gemini 3.8 Flash is suprisingly fast, how fast is Argon compared to the other frontier models? Does google have a performance edge?
perarneng··on Schools are experimenting with AI with little evidence or policy to guide them
Humanity is experimenting with AI and we do not have a single clue about the consequences for humanity and there is no way to stop it either. Im 100% convinced most people will be more stupid due to how humans are lazy by default.
perarneng··on AX – Google’s Open Agentic Orchestrator
Yes perhaps easy refers to when actually using AX as a platform for deploying and managing agents, not actually installing and managing AX itself. I think it's awesome they targeted kubernetes but it's not easy from a human perspective. However with documentation and an AI assistant working with Kubernetes is so nice. I have worked with all the big clouds and Kubernetes a lot. But with AI it's so much faster and nicer to work with Kubernetes. It's so easy to debug and find issues in Kubernetes since the models know's Kubernetes so well. It quickly find issues and just fixes them. With the cloud deployment and changes are usually pretty slow and also it's sometimes tricky to debug if ex enough info isn't exposed. With Kubernetes every little atom is available for inspection by the AI.
perarneng··on We must pace the frontier
It's either being afraid of loosing to china or that model development will stagnate and they want to make it look like they are "slowing" down deliberately.

However the real reason to slow down is more of how it's introduced to the economy. Hypereautomation will kill jobs and destroy the economy. I work as an AI engineer and companies are delivering products at vibe coding speeds to kill jobs and at the same time automating internally. All companies are doing this at the same time and the target it sto eliminate workers.

Most people are so extremely slow to pick this up. How hard can it be to understand what hyperautomation does to the workforce? Companies are desperate to surrivive and they will do all it takes to lower their costs and at the same time not loose to competitors. Its Wild West out there.

perarneng··on Shopify is moving from React Native back to Swift and Kotlin
Why not flutter?
perarneng··on Your intellectual fly is open (2025)
The people who are going to be successful in the coming economy is the ones who can channel all the knowledge and experience of an llm without shame. If you are smart:

Directed Panspermia
perarneng··on IBM Bob
I hope its good, I wont test it though
perarneng··on Agent memory as a file format
I don't use it. I chat about all kinds of random things and I don't want to risk memory that is irrelevant being injected in my random sessions.
perarneng··on Playa Phone
0 outgoing, nobody knows numbers anymore and even if you could look it up you won't punch numbers like its 1992.

With that said, amazing project. super cool that people can call in

perarneng··on Judge rules Trump administration’s blacklisting of Anthropic was illegal
what are the potential consequences then
perarneng··on GrapheneOS project: pixel 11 no longer supports hardware memory tagging (MTE)
What, MTE is such a promising tech and for security and now that we need all security we can get. WTF this is terrible development. You cant go backwards when the world needs getting even more secure.
perarneng··on Judge rules Trump administration’s blacklisting of Anthropic was illegal
Does anything matter if it's illegal or not when it comes to the current government? This is not a flamewar im interested from a practical perspective if things like this has any effects at all in practice.
perarneng··on Australia Bans Generative A.I. From Official Music Charts
Have generative AI create the music and then become a cover artist for AI generated music. No one will notice. Lots of musicians are cover artists because perhaps they are skilled in their playing instruments and or singing but have a hard time coming up with good music. So instead let AI come up with the music and just copy it and make it yours.
perarneng··on Maiao: Gerrit-style code review workflow for GitHub, GitLab, Gitea, others
as someone who used Gerrit for a year: No
perarneng··on AI is about to uncover a hidden world of animal communication
First thing we should say to them: "We hope this message finds you well, We are sorry, also we would like to talk to you about your extended insurance..."
perarneng··on Pixel 11 Pro Fold feels like the end of an era
I have pixel 10 Pro Fold. Formfactor: for Pockets. The slim when folded is great for most pockets. I think it's great and I use it in folded and unfolded mode every day depending on what I want to do. Not sure how well the wider one would work with pockets when folded. It's an important feature for me at least.
perarneng··on Pixel Watch 5
I have the pixel watch 4 and I also hate charging stuff. But I put some double sided tape under the charging cradle and I just put it there at night which I think is good because then I always know where it is as well. So im used to it now. Plus you can buy an extra for travel ex. So im happy with it so far.
perarneng··on Why Go Is an Ideal Language for AI-Assisted Software Engineering
The readability is a plus at the same time if I target Rust and build it modular with lots of tests and io pure modules. The review part is not as important if the AI reviews it from various perspectives. With rust I get so much better performance and efficiency.
perarneng··on Mojo 1.0
The main downside is that usually I only choose languages that the LLM is extremely good at. (however I avoid dynamically typed).

But I hope they succeed, it's a very interesting approach. Then I will jump on it later on. S

perarneng··on France to ban unsolicited telemarketing calls
Spam calls killed telephony. The greed of phone companies allowed it to happen. They could have addressed the problem with technical measures, such as displaying the verified name of the caller—whether a person or a company. Showing only a phone number is not good enough.
perarneng··on DeepSeek costs OpenCode Go user $1.14/day; dual DGX breaks even in 24 years
The reason to run local models is not for coding mostly it's for learning how to deploy models and tinker with self hosting. It's also for massively crunching data 24/7. Imaging having an agent analyzing constinous log streams etc .. that could be a usescse where even deepseek could add up cost.
perarneng··on AMD acquires Taalas to boost inference performance by etching models in silicon
On thing with this enormous speed is that you could create multiagent validation and correction and still have it super fast and achieve greater quality thanks to speed alone.

perarneng··on Proxmox Virtual Environment now available for 64-bit ARM (ARM64)
can I run it on dgx spark now ?
perarneng··on EU enforces labeling AI generated content
What if you find ex images that is not labeled should you assume its not AI? This will make everything not labeled as AI get more legitimate even though it's still at a similar level of trustworthiness. this a big problem.
perarneng··on Exploit brokers pay $500k for WordPress RCEs. I found one with GPT5.6 and $25
How do you find exploits without risking someone seeing your attempt and reporting you as a hacker? do you register first somewhere?
perarneng··on Reid Hoffman says SpaceX 'not an AI company', xAI 'complete train wreck'
" And it should be an opportunity, not a threat.”

This pisses me off actually. How detached from reality can you be. AI makes the job market place very unpredictable and smart people predict it won't be so good. Then you expect young people to be super excited about AI.

I like AI and im an AI Engineer but I hate the fact that AI is used to destroy jobs. It would be fine if jobs disappeared if there were alternatives but it's not. It's straight to unemployment. The worst hasn't happened yet but its coming.

perarneng··on Microsoft new Outlook takes 10 seconds to do what Outlook Classic does instantly
JavaScript needs to do whatever JavaScript needs to do.

It's incredible when we have AI assistants that slow shit like that still ships in products affecting millions of users. Imagine how much totally wasted energy that costs just because the companies are cheap. Just port it to Rust and run it as webassembly at least.
