30 hours in a 24 hours day? :O
Read it, it's a lovely 5 minutes piece of writing.
Digital embargo is more appropriate IMHO.
I'm Italian, lived in UK for a few years, and I have problems with Standard Italian, so much that often I use English grammar in Italian or I have to Google translate from English to Italian for words.
Also, I noticed as well that my home dialect is getting stronger than Standard Italian, although I lived in another part of Italy for almost 10 years.
I have the no-tracking enabled in the FF preferences and I'm on Ubuntu MATE 16.04 LTS.
7 millions+ people are not paying Blizzard already (me included) because the game they sell now it's not the one I subscribed years ago. It is not an MMO nowadays, you just hang around in your personal space, click to get in instances, click to get a selfie, click to buy some gold. I miss the community and the sense of exploration, and private servers, especially those on Vanilla or TBC, are the only ones giving me that feeling.
It's years the community ask Blizzard to give us Vanilla/TBC servers, and let us play the game we love. Most of us will pay an higher sub if required, so it's not being cheap.
Closing Nostalrius will not bring more people in retail, but the opposite. Most of the people I know are dropping their subscriptions BECAUSE of the action Blizzard has taken. Instead of solving the cause, they are sticking they head in the sands, telling us we don't know what we want, that they know better. Well, numbers don't lie, and the game is empty.
So yeah, good work Blizzard, you managed to kill the biggest game in history. And they could make a lot of money with a couple of legacy servers. Those have no costs, except for limited maintenance, and the game development has paid itself years ago. So it is virtually pure profit.
I've sold my iPod touch 5th gen 64GB as I wasn't using it anymore since moving to a smartphone + big sd.
Italian is great, but often is too much rhetorical and "slow" to convey a message, while English is quicker and allows you to "hack" the language in a unique way.
I do not love English, but I think that it is good enough and the quicker language to use out there (albeit one of the hardest to master properly).
Italian is excellent, especially compared to other (major) European languages (hello French and German). But it is not the quicker language to learn at an acceptable level IMHO.
Seriously, you should always close what you do not need. It is not only for energy efficiency, but for security as well.
Firefox OS was never a real product, but a PoC.
IMHO, Mozilla should absorb the Tor project and focus on Free Web technologies, e.g. a really Free email service and a Free cloud storage service.
Yes, I intentionally use capitol F for Free.
How to raise money? Freemium model.
A good email+cloud storage service, with the optional pay model for using a custom domain.
And stop attacking the Linux distros for the Firefox trademark (forcing them to create the Iceweasel fork) or including proprietary services (e.g. Pocket) forcing the creation of the Icecat fork.
Just be a Free and Open browser, with some good cloud services, and make money within a Freemium model (allowed by Free Software Foundation policies).
