How about we drop that stupid feminism label and movement and start to actually talk about the issues at hand?
Citation urgently needed.
Fully agreed. There seems to be this weird mode of thinking for most people 'I choose to ignore the bad stuff so that I am happier'. But the end result here might be exactly the opposite, the worst case.
For example, it is scary how lightheartedly people talk about 'war with Russia' in context of the current Ukraine crisis. Regardless on what political side one is, avoiding direct confrontation of nuclear powers should be the main concern.
Rather than all the talk and fuss and whatnot about more-or-less meaningful social justice causes, I would rather like to see a movement to put nuclear weapons into 'cold storage' and a verified international protocol to continuously check that they are there.
Seeing that it is unrealistic to have full disarmament, this would at least greatly reduce the risk.
And if you would sound like one, would that be bad in any way? Really, what's the problem with that word? Caring for Men's rights is bad?
Look up Karen Straughan on Youtube. She's an MRA and very intelligent woman. She raises many good points in the current, toxic debate.
www.bank.com is 1.2.3.4 with pub key XYZ
Or is this already implemented and I am too stupid to find it?
The rough equivalent of herbivore men in the west is called MGTOW. In the west, some blame feminism for similar shifts...
How about 'CIA agents who tortured could be brought to justice in any country?'
Can you really explain in your worldview why you would care at all?
Awesome utopia.
I still wonder why anyone does anything with MD5 anymore, especially in an application like GPG... if it is known to be weak... It makes the argument why it is still safe in this situation much more subtle and involved. From all the crypto gurus, we hear 'MD5 is unsafe, do not use it anymore!!' and then in PGP/GPG, MD5 is still used because, well apparently for historic reasons and because one can. As a non-expert in these matters, this looks very odd. It seems to (needlessly) make matters more complicated and involved, more complex in terms of the necessary analysis, and on the other hand unnecessary complexity is (rightfully) despised by the same security people...
If they'd use SHA256 or similar, one could simply assume all of the properties of an unbroken cryptographic hashing function and throw out the MD5 code.
So in the end, the only valid excuse here would be history+inertia.
Edit: To be more specific - do you have a quiet/stabilized optical platform onboard to perform this?
Why is /dev/urandom spitting out anything before it has acquired enough entropy for the initial seed? Wouldn't it be a good idea for it to initially block?
Maybe this should be a feature request to the web-app devs.?
Some people feel that way. For some - in the end deep emotional reason, I don't _want_ it to be that way for myself. Even though I probably have more pain that way, going through life.
