Something interesting: US Foreign Assistance to some rich countries - 2002/2012 http://datarake.com/viewreport.aspx?_r=db53e5b8-7841-475d-b1...

Data sourced from Data.gov.

The power of data: You will be surprised to learn that US still provides economic assistance to countries like Germany, Japan, France and more ...

Good idea we'll see how to make that work.

We will definitely take some time to do that. Thanks.

We have been uploading data from various sources, mostly Data.gov. Please let us know any public dataset you will like us to index.

We have been indexing datasets from Data.gov. We are looking to index more public datasets, lets us know any dataset you would like to search.

We found the APIs a bit slow when dataset is large, so for now we download the file in any format and upload it with our tool. We have another service that sells business listing (bizrake.com), regular folks have hard time dealing with large dataset, so we are building a service where people can search and download specific data.

Since you are in DC lets meet for coffee.

Impressive! this watch may mark the comeback of Motorola in the mobile arena. Well done Google.

This is controversial but it is my personal experience: As a non-white, living in Germany is hard; the level of bigotry and racism in my opinion makes the nuisance of the US visa system negligible. Most tech immigrants are non-whites so I think a debate over immigration should take into account the quality of life for the techies and their family. Sure the US still have a lot to do to improve its visa system, but the American way of life and its people, makes the US the most attractive place to go for non-whites techies.

DC is becoming a place to be for startups on the east coast. Hacker News DC is a big part of it, a great meetup to meet and exchange with fellows DC hackers. Good job Rusty!!

Wow great job Guys, in business since 2004 wow that is quite some time. Let me guess without the YC seal there would have been a NO from Techcrunch, good move Colourlovers!

You're making a mistake Groupon!

Simply beautiful design!

Wow!

Why Windows 8 we have barely used 7?

I don’t think it should scare you if you are careful about your online activity

I can't see picture of Michael Chin http://www.baydin.com/about.html are they still in business?

Pure business cofounders always seems to me as a wrong choice. MBA guys generally don’t understand what goes into coding; they see tech guys as replaceable robots. I tried so far to work on friends projects or have friends working on my project with no success when the guy is pure MBA; most of the time project won’t event take off.

I will say you are deep in it, you should fight and try to acquire more control and swing things your way.
