oahziur··on Ask HN: How do you review code?
We used PR based review before, but we found it is hard and inefficient when many changes are required. Its hard to see whether comments is being addressed in Bitbucket PR. We switched to Phabricator recently, and the incremental reviews really helps.

I think you can go over your previous PRs, and see how many of them has multiple rounds of reviews. If most of them are minor changes/fixes, then switching maybe unnecessary.

oahziur··on Monads in JavaScript
I think Maybe monad could be really useful in Swift (Apple's new language). Some people use it for chaining up the optional type. However, I found that the lack of functional feature such as curried parameters in swift makes it less useful.
oahziur··on Mastering Emacs
Learning some basic emacs bindings before using vim bindings is still valuable to me. Sometimes I have to use emacs bindings to do things.
oahziur··on Fish shell
I really miss Control+R when I use fish. I also prefer to click Control+R again instead of using the inconvenient up arrow key to search the history.
oahziur··on Ask HN: What is your Linux distro of choice?
I am using ubuntu 14.04 on Macbook.
oahziur··on OS X Reviewed
I think "slate" is a bit more powerful than spectacleapp. However, the experience is far away from something like Xmonad and i3wm on Linux.

oahziur··on OS X Reviewed
I think OS X is really missing a good tiling window managers for developers. I think it is the only pain point that I found when using OS X.
oahziur··on Arch Linux on MacBook Pro Retina 2014
How is the stability of wifi?
oahziur··on Arch Linux on MacBook Pro Retina 2014
I am using Mac OS for my Macbook because I tried several times to configure different version of Linux on Macbook, but I failed. Especially the support for retina display was poor. Right now, I am using Linux only on my desktop at home and work. The only thing that I think I really miss in Mac OS, is a good tiling window manager, such as, i3wm and Xmonad.

The "REPL via NodeJS" is amazing!!! I want to try ClojureScript on NodeJS for a long time. Now I can play with the REPL.

oahziur··on App.js: Mobile webapps made easy
It seems this is really good for single page (WebView) embedded in a native app. I am curious whether the wrong scrolls will happen if turn off the scroll functionality of the WebView on iOS or Android.
oahziur··on Once-great SSD manufacturer OCZ filing for bankruptcy
"They built drives with extreme speeds while entirely sacrificing longevity and reliability." This is so true, I had their SSD before, and it broken ==> I lost most of my data in that drive...
oahziur··on Ask HN: Best isolating headphones for hacking?
I also have a pair of QC15. It is amazing, but for some reason, I cannot use it while I am wearing glass. so most of time, I work without wearing glass (Although it is hard for me to see my code clearly).
oahziur··on DigitalOcean Sucks. Use DigitalOcean
good point, I think this user deserve a second chance in this situation.

Another thing is they should not say that the files are safe in first place, and then destroy them afterward. Maybe this user trust them and wait for the files to submit his assignment.

oahziur··on DigitalOcean Sucks. Use DigitalOcean
well, this should be another case that digital ocean sucks. bad customer services plus not return important files after suspend.
oahziur··on My tmux setup
Agreed, I will be crazy if I use ctrl-a. Also it conflict with start of line of default bash settings
oahziur··on My tmux setup
I use Ctrl-o as my key bind for tmux. Maybe Ctrl-\ is a better choice for me, since Ctrl-o conflict with something that I does not always using.
