nurik··on Dropbox for email: Killer idea revolutionizes email
nice!
nurik··on From Idea (Saturday) to Build (Sunday) to TechCrunch (Tuesday). And Now?
I love it
nurik··on Rejected for YC and still feeling awesome
I love that idea!!!
nurik··on Ask HN: Subscription based E-Commerce
Wow, Thanks for the comments! Very insightful...I like the idea to sell medical products on a subscription based model...it has some schleps related to it :)http://paulgraham.com/schlep.html
nurik··on Show HN: Can you tell me what's wrong with this idea?
I also think its interesting...maybe you can add a historical twist to it...let people upload their pictures and show them on a timeline or so...
nurik··on HackerFollow
Very cool indeed. Thanks for posting.
nurik··on Show HN: My First Web App - A Pizza Coupon Search Tool
I love how "simple" and useful it is. Great job!
nurik··on Ask HN: Is there a tool like codecademy for other subjects?
thanks for the links!
nurik··on We have a funded startup but no product
Does your idea compete with this one? http://www.howaboutwe.com/
nurik··on We have a funded startup but no product
Take the money and run....no just kidding of course. Is it possible to pivot your idea? You must have thought about this I am sure...Your team must be pretty good, otherwise you would n't have an outstanding angel board and I assume you wouldnt be able to keep the money. I agree with the approach of "lifeisstillgood". Can you tell us a bit about your "failed" idea? It might seem strange at this point but have you considered to apply here?: http://ycombinator.com/noidea.html
nurik··on Show HN: My never ending weekend project - recikeep.com
I really like the logo!
nurik··on Ask HN: Idea guy put me on his incubator application without my consent
I would not do anything. Just wait and see whether this guy gets accepted for an interview...if yes tell them you have been asked to join and did yet not confirm your participation and if not you are free to do whatever you want. Since you have been listed as a developer you can easily apply again with another idea.
nurik··on Ask HN: Had an idea for a web app to trade favors with strangers. Feedback?
I think you are right. If you look at Amazon's site for small digital tasks most "favors" are one-offs: http://www.mturk.com
nurik··on Ask HN: Had an idea for a web app to trade favors with strangers. Feedback?
I agree with you that the one who will get the favor done wont be interested in buying the solution. It also depends of course on the favor...(i.e. reviewing code cant be done twice in a row since each problem is going to be different). However, the following people that have the same problem maybe will. Lets say the initial favor costs 1 USD and the solution 50 cent....then you might opt for the solution. Didnt Amazon have a small-task service? You might also check out mightybell.com for some inspiration on that...
nurik··on Ask HN: Had an idea for a web app to trade favors with strangers. Feedback?
I see your point. However, jf you have a smart solution that's worth buying, people will buy it over and over again and even when it seems "cheap" it could generate significant revenue (just like the songs etc. on itunes)...
nurik··on Ask HN: Had an idea for a web app to trade favors with strangers. Feedback?
You can monetize with this: add the feature that the ones who do the favors also can explain other how they did it, if you want to know how to do it you have pay a very small fee (maybe 10 to 50 cents). I know there are already code review pages outthere, but I would definitely add the feature to review/add code snippets.

You would rather "tax" the user for digital services (a bit like itunes which "taxes" users for digital products). Depending on a lot of stuff this might actually be a very good idea. When you have your fvp send me a mail.

nurik··on Ask HN: Has a startup ever tried renting out women's shoes?
If it all I would rent out expensive jewerly...of course protected with sufficient insurance etc..
nurik··on Ask HN: What should Apple do with their $97.6B in cash?
I would set up coding and design schools in areas of the world where students do not have access to fancy IT equipment and software etc. Then I would set up small incubators in those areas to foster entrepreneurship. Then I would give each Apple employee 15 days of per year to travel to those areas.
nurik··on Ask HN: My Startup didn't go viral- what now?
Where is the schlep? I'd highly recommend this before developing anything further: http://paulgraham.com/schlep.html
nurik··on Ask HN: Isn't it time for an Apple alternative?
Thanks guys for the comments. Really appreciate it. And please excuse the lack of asking more precisely, what I meant to ask was if you guys see any chance and need in a new company that produces hardware and software? Of course thats not all Apple is about...after all you might not need a similar company whatsoever. However, currently I don't see any company out there with the potential to come up with a similar set up (hence I totally agree with chris_dcosta and in part with dholowiski).
nurik··on Show HN - SuggestMeLearn, My first web application
I love it! We are doing a similar thing here in Germany. Would you be interested in working together on the project?
nurik··on Ask HN: Where to find freelance web developers in Germany?
heurekalab.com
nurik··on The Startup Reality Show
Dragons Den and the like are close to that. It was fun watching. However, I rather would like to see a documentation series on how startups try to solve real problems they face during their development process: first customer, marketing, hr, funding etc...just one start up per show...
nurik··on Who will dominate neighborhood networking?
I just checked and GoGoVerde is no longer in the game...wonder what they did wrong...
nurik··on Tell HN: the best thing I did this year
That fits to the well known quote of Steve Jobs: "It comes from saying no to 1000 things to make sure we don't get on the wrong track or try to do too much."
nurik··on Bob Geldof: "Growth rates in Africa higher than in india and china"
Does anyone have an idea what the start up scene in Africa looks like?
nurik··on Leaving a hot startup after 6 months - stupid idea?
Don't Quit. 6 months is just too short of a time. No matter what you do afterwards it will always leave a question mark why you left so early, in particular when the start up has so much traction. That the founder sucks is too bad. However, to get along with people on a professional basis is way different than getting along with them on a private basis. Think of the army. Imagine people would quit just because they dont get along with the General. Persevere and try to stay at least a year...
nurik··on Ask HN: Why do many start ups have a "we launch soon" site?
Thanks! Yeah, I totally see the quid pro quo and to offer something in exchange for emails
nurik··on Launching my bootstrapped start-up. Please cross your fingers for me.
Very good idea! The topics Baby, Graduation and Marriage are well chosen.

Maybe you could also function as an personalized news aggregator of other sources such as bloggers: pay them royalty and publish "emagazines"... imagine you could have emagazines on sports, coding, medical topics, politics etc...I would be your first customer.

nurik··on Ask HN: Who are hackers who also like sports?
I love to play Basketball, if you are in Germany lets play :)
