If you think some of the equipment is 100k, x-ray 30k per plate. You also need a territory before you start. It is too easy for bigger practices to starve you out to just pile in 250k and hope for the best.
You have to join a small practice, crawl up through the ranks, getting paid next to nothing, somehow kill your colleagues before they make partner and then you might be in a position to jump ship stealing customers as you go or organize a coup take over the practice by joining with another bigger practice nearby and buying out the seniors.
If you had said lawyer now... I don't know maybe - but I got your american dream point.
js library names has become like domains now - everything already taken, boing.js, bounce.js, pulse.js, throb.js, even wubwub.js - hey how about palp.js? meh...no rythm.js is better :) there were too many haches in that word anyway.
I have owned various on linux, aix, windows, sco-unix, vax from pick, rms, isams, 4gls dbs, ingres, informix, sybase, mssql, db2, oracle, solid, postgres, mysql to mongo, influx, and redis. I hate them all. I found mysql very slow, much slower than postgresql on equivalent datasets/queries. I had done evaluations before choosing an open-source db for a particular project.
And that really is the crux of the thing - comparing benchmarks is usually meaningless, some don't scale as well, some suit a different kind of application, some need to be distributed, some not, it really is on a case by case basis, what is good in one case is not always the case.
Perhaps stating the blindingly obvious for those getting very het up about evangelism...
>and even the Dark Web will allow paedophiles, hit men, and every type of criminal
alt-right? Why don't you call them what they are - Nazis and fascists. They are lowest of all these. There is probably strong overlap. Fascists think nobody should have any rights but themselves.
The vigilantism/collaboration was made necessary by the alarming fact that the people who should have been doing something - authorities all the way up and including POTUS were tacitly sanctioning them, facilitating them, normalizing their behavior.
They present a clear and present danger to the country and free speech. They still have their free speech, they can still cry on youtube. Daily Stormer was just one head of that hydra.
If you know of any pedo, hit men or criminals then reach out to law enforcement and failing that publicly shame them so that the same can happen. None of the above should or will be tolerated.
As for programming - I've seen countless noobs make things that were far too complicated for them to understand later - let alone anybody else. If I had only one piece of advice to any intern it would be 'keep it simple'. I don't agree with learning everything the hard way, by trial and error because maybe you'll never get the chance to fix that crap you made because y'know there will always be people who can do it to an acceptable standard first time. Life does not always give you do-overs.
Personally worked on SCADA systems for powers stations but never on windows, all DEC-Unix and Linux in fact how I got into linux in '97.
My kids both nearly teenagers have known only Linux and Apple (except Windows at schools*).
I recall also how many of those years were hailed as 'Year of the Linux Desktop'.
Also 'Linux' desktop - please people don't forget all the work by unsung heroes on e.g. KDE and Gnome apps, package managers, Drake installers, Compiz and Beryl, getting winmodems working, nvidia drivers, goddamn pulseaudio,... you get my drift.
I use both (cut-paste monkey!). There seems to be a bit more magic with R, less code. Shiny is pretty cool too.
btw - shinyproxy package was compromised recently - check your download hashes :(
No it is exactly that! The test case was from a man specifically Mario Costeja González wishing for his past financial embarrassments to be erased.
