That's quite a bold statement.
I have nothing against Github, but I wish developers knew better :/
And it gives enough power to really control what companies are doing with people's data. And the fines are huge (up to 3% of the company's global gross amount) compared to what exists today.

Any other interesting G-E sites I'm missing ?
I have spent much time in the US, but I think I have never seen that...in restaurants at least. And I'm kinda glad I didn't.
- Node.js is great if you like JS. It couples really well with MongoDB (see MEAN stack).
- Play Framework is quite nice if you want to stick to Java.
Client-side :
- React is...well you tried it.
- Vue.js is great.
Focus on your service's quality more than your TLD. You won't regret it.
When it comes to porting database software between OSes, abstraction is IMO the risk prone option.
To be honest, I think email search is something even Google hasn't succeeded yet. The way it's introduced on your homepage makes me think you have succeeded...but it will definitely be HARD to scale if your service becomes popular.
The instant-meeting-setup feature is nice, but the main email/agenda solution have this covered in an acceptable way already, IMO.
I know for a fact that providing a search feature in a mail service isn't an easy problem to solve. Can you tell us a bit about the infrastructure behind this service ?
