noidea_··on Being nude in public can make us feel better about our bodies
We've been wearing clothing for about 170,000 years....

> you've been brain-washed to think that is OK

Some of us have learned new things in the past 170,000 years

> now all people find it offensive

This entire post is about how many people do not find it offensive

noidea_··on Email addresses are not good 'permanent' identifiers for accounts
No it doesn't. There are zero people on the registry for urinating in public. This is a myth that pedophiles like to claim.

You'll find thousands of articles about it. You won't find a single case.

noidea_··on What to Do About Inequality (2012)
lol what? Literally like all of human development is because somebody didn't want to sit around and wait for the government to solve their problems. This is such a crazy sentiment. It's literally the silly conservative talking point that liberals want the government to solve their problems.
noidea_··on EC sends Statements of Objections to Valve and five publishers on “geo-blocking”
It's unlikely that tiny, relatively unimportant video game markets are going to change the tenants of capitalism.

> If they are able to sell to a lower price to a given country, why would they not sell at that price to everyone else ?

Because they'd make less money

noidea_··on Crystal Meth Is Spreading
> People say you should experience everything when you are young

Literally no one says this

noidea_··on Ghidra, NSA's reverse-engineering tool
Yes they have. Their biggest effort to date is SELinux: https://github.com/SELinuxProject

If you run Linux, you likely have NSA OSS on your machine.

You can find their public GitHub profile at: https://github.com/nationalsecurityagency

noidea_··on Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation backtracks on one-year parental leaves
The burger has many more layers. It's significantly more complex. As someone who spent some time working in Germany, my coworkers were obsessed with hamburgers. And mayo on everything.
noidea_··on Stylelint – A modern linter for CSS
No it's not. The problem is you're grossly misinformed about languages in general (a more suitable language? wtf?). There's nothing wrong with NPM and distributing packages used by the majority of the ecosystem. And for all of NPM's problems, it works literally better than every other garbage package manager. But I suspect your criticism is more because you read some comments about NPM, not that you know what you're talking about.
noidea_··on New Scooter Removal Service Appears
Ohhh, so close. Scooters are not "discarded matter", nor is it "rubbish". You really should look up the definitions of words before you use them. You should also read up on descriptive grammar. It's pretty obvious that Bird scooters don't meet those definitions as commonly used. So not only do you not understand the literal definitions, you also seemingly lack social awareness on how people communicate.

Here's a tip: When you have to try and quote literal definitions to make a point, and then get it wrong, you're over simplifying and being dumb. Nuance isn't a vice. Embrace understanding on multiple levels. See the differences and let your mind explore them.

Check.

noidea_··on New Scooter Removal Service Appears
Sure, if you lack the nuance gene, it would seem like that.
noidea_··on Open-source crypto is no better than closed-source crypto
The parent obviously didn't mean that ALL TIMES UNDER ALL CIRCUMSTANCES DO YOU GET PERFECT SUPPORT. It's simply a data point in the overall calculus. Support vs internal maintainability vs cost vs ability to find supporting talent vs license provisions vs IP concerns vs regulatory requirements vs a million other reasons.
