nilsjcbsn··on CSV Diff – What changed in my table?
Technically I tried to solve it for CSV data, which relies a little less on computed data. Prototype: https://csv-n2qj.onrender.com/

My struggle was how to display to the user what changed.

nilsjcbsn··on CSV Diff – What changed in my table?
Did someone solve that before?

Do you know how to show diff views of CSV tables? My insights: Diff views Aren’t Universal; Context Matters; Content-Specific Diff views.
nilsjcbsn··on CSV-App with Change Tracking
In this blog, I'll walk you through a CSV app that tracks changes and share my insights. Try out the demo https://csv-n2qj.onrender.com/
nilsjcbsn··on Demo: CSV-App with History
Use-case: Cap Table

We built this app to help those who manage cap tables in multiple .csv files on their PCs.

- store everything in one place - track changes granularly - no file jumping anymore

Sure. Next steps: - Editing (see changes made and accept them at some point) - Collaboration (sync with a host) - Comments - ...
nilsjcbsn··on Collaborative Markdown with Lix Change Control
Right! The interesting part begins when you start looking at data that isn't source code. We'll achieve semantic understanding of various file formats through plugins. If you're really curious, you can follow #lix-progress on Discord -> https://discord.com/invite/gdMPPWy57R

While it could be applied to coding, our focus is on bringing features that are already well known in software workflows to people outside of software engineering.

Imagine: Diffs for CAD files; Diffs for music producers; Diffs for layers; Diffs for accountants ... -> Diffs for the whole company

Now, we need a generalized SDK to make it easy to build apps with built-in change control.

nilsjcbsn··on Ask HN: How to Sell an Ecosystem to Developers?
I attempted to improve the landing page's communication (inlang.com), but received negative feedback. Only a few developers who were already in the realm had a clear understanding of it.

Frequent feedback: - What is the ecosystem? -> It's apps, plugins, libraries that are compatible with the inlang project - What is inlang? -> U need a inlang project, then every app just works

Do you understand it? How could we communicate it better?

nilsjcbsn··on Ask HN: What happened to startups, why is everything so polished?
I’m the responsible person that Samuel talked about. I agree thanks for the feedback. Any chance that we can get on a call?
