nikolakirev··on Mac apps are harder than iOS apps
The Layout is also a very tricky part. On iOS the app is always in full screen. On OS X, there are infinite number of display sizes and the user can dynamically change the size and ratio of the window of your app.
nikolakirev··on Apple Updates iMac
Very "quiet" update. I hope this means, that Apple will have too much other stuff to show off at their October event (expected to be announced soon).
nikolakirev··on Today I Deleted My LinkedIn Account; You Probably Should Too
While deleting your account is certainly one of the options, I disabled all email notifications and removed all the recruiters that added me. Now I am careful about which requests I approve. Overall, LikedIn can be useful for connecting to new colleagues or former ones.
nikolakirev··on Facebook is doomed
Why stop with Facebook? Any company, that does not have self driving cars and Internet balloons is doomed.
nikolakirev··on WWDC 2013 Keynote
Not sure if this will work, but you can try changing the User Agent to Safari in the Chrome Inspector preferences.
nikolakirev··on CSS Only Macbook Air
Looks great! I can highlight the"MacBook Air" label below the screen. Is it possible to use the  (alt+shift+K) symbol for the Apple logo?
nikolakirev··on The Onion releases fartscroll.js
All of the fart apps in the App Store are now ready for that transition from native to multi-platform web based applications.
nikolakirev··on Show HN: the iPhone version of News/YC, a Hacker News reader
Very nice project! Do you need some help with it? I saw the list with upcoming features. Making it universal (iPad compatible) would be nice too.
nikolakirev··on Path texts my entire phonebook at 6 AM
One of my clients wanted me to implement the same thing for his iOS app. I told him, that I think it is illegal and if it is not, that it should be. Anyway, I never wrote that code.
nikolakirev··on I just wore Google's glasses for 2 weeks and I'm never taking them off
I am really interested in the whole "smart glasses" idea and Google's implementation. What I am concerned about are all those cellular/radio antennas strapped to your head and how do they affect a person's health. I have not found any discussions about this topic yet.
nikolakirev··on Alcatraz: Xcode Package Manager
Looks great! There is an issue with installing/running it on OS X Lion, but I am sure it will get fixed soon.
nikolakirev··on 7 billion people on 1 page
Hehe. You are right. Those are actually the official olympic colors of the continents, se they will get away with it.
nikolakirev··on Using PGD to design deafness in child
Just to be on the same page. The child is not "created" and then "implanted" with the disability. The embryo with the disability is picked to be born. So it is not unethical to the child (the other option for him/her was to not be born).
nikolakirev··on The New Firebase iOS SDK
Sounds great!

How does it handle battery power consumption?

nikolakirev··on The Coolest Experience I Had as an Apple Store Employee
While I was reading the story, I kept thinking that the kids will start using the "say" command in the Terminal to start talking. That would have been a great story.
nikolakirev··on Expected arrival times for Apple products
About two weeks ago, Apple did an update on the Retina MBP and some price changes the the MacBook Air. I know it is a rather small change, but I think it counts for "release", so the calculation for the Macbooks is wrong.
nikolakirev··on Apple Increases iPad with Retina Display to 128GB
I think this is just another step towards tablets replacing personal portable computers(notebooks, netbooks). More storage on the tablet means less dependency on other devices.
nikolakirev··on Responsive Web Design – Advanced Lesson
I was about to comment on the same thing, but actually I think it will look good on a tablet and I guess a smartphone is not the best device to read web design tutorials.
nikolakirev··on How Japanese Kids Learn To Multiply
This is indeed very interesting technique, but I don't think it is very practical and fast.
nikolakirev··on Behind enemy lines: 3 months as an iOS developer at Google
Very interesting read! Thank you for posting!
