He had the people at the dealership drive the car. They acknowledged the problem and got on a call together with Ford. Ford refused to even entertain the idea there was a flaw but less than a year later they came up with a "software patch".
Pete would bring it up with anyone he met. Do not buy a Ford Focus / Ford Fiesta with automatic transmission.

Children are a real commitment, unlike an iPhone. I don’t even have a sim in this iPhone I’m currently holding. It is ok. I can use it on WiFi. You can’t do that with a child. You have to feed and clothe the child. You have to take care of them when they are sick.
A coworker had a baby with an irregular heartbeat. They used to come to work with red eyes like evidently they’d been crying. Why are they at work? I mean there’s more than a dozen doctors and nurses parading in and out of the baby’s room in the hospital. Our health insurance is from our employer.
Let’s assume you somehow raised a healthy child and more they want to go to college. If college continues to go up in cost like it has got the last twenty or thirty years, where will we be when a baby born today wants to go to college?
It is not a crime to not have children. I say it is our right and our duty to not have children if we can’t make the numbers work.
If you own a restaurant and let’s say you bought a kilogram of tomatoes for a dollar and it spoiled but you don’t claim it as a loss. How can the IRS know this automatically and refund you?
I mean I agree they can for simple people like me who just have a w2 though…
In fact, I’d say a ban is at least a decade overdue and our Congress is to blame as usual.
Edit: I mean a ban on social media networks controlled by China PR, not a ban on Texas drivers!
I am relatively poor and this will help me because even though I am poor I still have to prove I am poor which is burdensome.
There should be fine a 1% of annual revenue for every day these companies are in non compliance with prison for the ceo if they are non compliant for over thirty days.
One thing I’ve noticed is remmina isn’t quite the same as mstsc windows Remote Desktop but I think it is high praise that I could even get to the point of someday expecting it…
I didn’t know this.
Let’s say I buy advil, condoms, and dish soap with my capital one Visa card at Walgreens. What information does Walgreens share with visa and/or capital one? I just assumed the name of merchant and the total amount charged was all they needed?
I remember back when I was younger, I’d often see adults requesting the cashier to charge this much on one card, this much on another, bringing out four or five cards. Do all these banks/ card processors get a full list of items sold?
It is a frightening thought though to think — am I more conservative than my parents?
The apology should have come immediately after the incident, without anyone asking for it.
It's not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters. - Epictetus
A million is a lot but my first reaction to your comment was this is something only wealthy people can afford to say. Especially in the US where we don’t have universal healthcare.
Just typing this made me realize I need concrete, achievable goals though so I appreciate your comment. I am not the gp but this is something I expect a lot of us need to work on. Something like:
1. What are my financial goals? 2. Is it realistic to have those goals? 3. How do I know if I am on track? If not, what can I do to correct my course?
I don’t know what I stumbled upon but it definitely does not meet my threshold of reasonable suspicion to do an involuntary body cavity search for anyone solely because they do not own a cell phone.
Also I would hope the public pays for all costs of whatever involuntary search or medical procedure regardless of whether the search results in evidence of guilt but definitely if the search does not yield anything.
I am with my fellow poster. Boycott azure functions timer trigger and server less in general. Take responsibility for the machines you run.
But there’s no sense crying over every mistake
We must keep on trying till we run out of cake.
What does this mean? What are some scenarios where connections interact with each other? I work with dotnet. To me, every request is standalone and doesn’t need to know any other request exists. At the most, I can see doing some kind of caching where if someone does a GET /person/12345 and someone else does the same, I maybe able to do some caching. However, I don’t think this is what you meant by shared data.
Did you mean like if someone does a PUT /person/12345/email hikingfan@gmail.com instead of the next get request reaching to the database, you keep it in the application memory and just use it?
Or am I completely missing the point and you’re talking about near real-time stuff like calls and screen sharing?

We're sorry to inform you that we've made the decision to cancel your transaction and close your account.
This means that we've cancelled your payment. In the majority of cases, it should appear in your account within 2-3 working days but it can take 7-21 days depending on your bank/card issuer.
There are a number of reasons we may need to close a customer’s account: we may have concerns over security or feel that there's been a breach of our terms and conditions. Sometimes, a customer simply has more than one account to their name.
We’re not legally able to tell you the exact reason for each closure, but we always aim to stay balanced, fair and safe when reviewing our transactions – so if you think we've made the wrong decision, we'd love for you to get in touch.

No, the community is stupid and wrong. My machine learning professor (actual professor, not a teaching assistant) only used Python 2 in 2017. Imagine how many people had their opinions shaped by someone like them.
> … it is: never do this.
By that standard, we would never get things like angular 2 or Raku.
Would it be better if we renamed Python 3 to some other name and pretended it was a completely new language?
Read more about it on the web. Zero tolerance is something management / administration created to not have to do their job. The world is nuanced and each case has to be judged on its own merit. I do not support slapping a zero tolerance "policy" (not really a policy, more like a copout).
> Cameras - everywhere - except individual, single occupancy enforced, stalls.
Will you place an actual human outside each such stall to guarantee there is ever only one person inside?
I say this because in theory Drupal core supports postgresql 100%
In practice, unless you actually comb through the code base if all the modules you install, you will have some that won't work. I have only tried this on Drupal 8 but I doubt much will change with 9 or 10.
There is a gate right behind me that is closed with chains. It isn't possible to drive through there, though you can walk in and out from the smaller gate.
Google still always tells me to drive through the gate. I don't think Google Maps auto-learns. Maybe it needs a bigger sample size so people don't abuse it?
> In 1936, the REA was made permanent through the Rural Electrification Act. It was granted an initial budget of $50 million for the first two years, then $40 million a year for the following decade ($550 million in 1936 is approximately $10.3 billion today). Jul 12, 2021

I can't imagine how our government can justify subsidizing anything other than fiber to the home in the current year. As far as I know, there is very little ongoing maintenance cost and glass fiber is much cheaper than copper, no? Coax people are saying they can get symmetric gigabit up and down with docsis but I will believe it when I see it (low latency symmetric gigabit up and down, no data caps, reasonable pricing). Until then, we shouldn't give them any money.
How is this specific to programming? Surely there are more pressing matters if we are looking for BS jobs that don't solve problems.

This is almost one out of every five dollars in this country. Now that is something actually worth talking about.
Well you cannot ban abortion. You can only ban safe abortions.
This is what they want. They don't want an end to abortions. They want an end to safe abortions. If more women die in labor, they are ok with it.
