networkid··on Russia risks becoming ungovernable and descending into chaos
The same can be said about US, EU,China... Where social polarization already so close to the red line so it could bring the states into ungovernable, militarized, chsotic formations...
networkid··on Ukrainian special forces. Why don't we talk about them?
See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil?
networkid··on Ask HN: Alternatives to DuckDuckGo?
You just want to believe that the content you believe is more reliable and worth believing in.
networkid··on Ask HN: Alternatives to DuckDuckGo?
Right now there is no very big difference. Sorry to disappoint you.
networkid··on Ask HN: Alternatives to DuckDuckGo?
Yes, but making it explicitly politically biased is even worse
networkid··on Ask HN: Alternatives to DuckDuckGo?
Looks like you are enjoying consuming the content which corresponds to your political bias.
networkid··on Ask HN: Alternatives to DuckDuckGo?
Propaganda is a general definition for the dessemination of politically biased messages. All the news is covered by this definition. Especially during the war time. I don't understand why DuckDuckGo decides for their users whose propaganda is better.
networkid··on What America Should Do About Russia's Invasion of Ukraine
Dictatorship / democracy is a business of the people and ONLY people who populate a territory. Nobody can use this kind of argument to justify war. Neither Russians, neither Americans, nobody!

networkid··on What America Should Do About Russia's Invasion of Ukraine
In 1962, Kuba has been blocked from determining it's own destiny. US didn't like the Soviet missiles placed by Soviets right on their border. The peace has been saved only because USSR took a step back.

Todays Ukraine is "Kuba" for Russia. The presence of NATO near its borders is threatening its security. What America should do? Maybe revenue its aggressive military presence? Think about Ukrainian people not only on its interest across the ocean.

networkid··on No Place to Hide – U.K. campaign against end-to-encryption encryption
Seriously? Maybe they just should not give their children devices?
networkid··on Twitter locked my account (again) for an obvious joke
And yeah, "It is not a human right to be an internet user" in general.
networkid··on Twitter locked my account (again) for an obvious joke
Install your own mastodon instance or join an existing one. That would be much more better than naive complains on centralized social networks driven by venture capitals.
networkid··on Twitter locked my account (again) for an obvious joke
"To have an account in a social network is not a human right"
networkid··on Sputnik V: fraudulent clinical trial data
This kind of political wars are very harmful for vacination process. Of course there is a chance of the fraud but the same chance is for other vaccines as well and we need to talk about it. But is it a good time for such a fight?
networkid··on Killing Robots and Just War Theory
That's I guess the main point of the discussion. The terrible news, that usually the winners judge those who lost. And a huge part of war crimes can be left unnoticed. At the same time using AI-ruled machines gives a huge advantage and increases chances to win. That scares.
networkid··on Email Protection: The easy way to block email trackers and hide your address
Not sure that will work. There are many disposal email services and a common problem is that webmasters ban registration from these domains in order to protect against fake registrations.
networkid··on Ask HN: Did you quit smoking cannabis? If so, why?

networkid··on Ask HN: Did you quit smoking cannabis? If so, why?
Wrong. Nicotine and THC are two completely different substances which can not be compared like you do.
networkid··on Ask HN: Did you quit smoking cannabis? If so, why?
I smoked quite a lot in my 20s and used cannabis as a tool for inspiration. However, I found it is not beneficial from a long-run perspective. My panic attacks during the trips become more regular and after several experiments with amounts, including microdosing, I reduced my cannabis intake to 2 times per year. That is the most optimal for me to not go down into addiction and still change a take a look differently at the things sometimes. I live in Sweden and it's a legal hell for those who open for experiments with substances. Even usage is illegal and it surplus more stress to the experience. Nowadays I don't use simulators a lot but insist on decriminalization of personal usage and regulation of dealing.
networkid··on Show HN: Atto – BASIC computer that runs in the browser

networkid··on Why we should end the data economy
"Foreign countries use data about our personalities to polarize us", Really? Maybe it's all your politicians does?
networkid··on Are we cut out for universal morality?
Why Americans so care about PEACEFUL transfer of power and at the same time support bloody and dirty revolutions all around the world?
networkid··on Just designed the most evil UI component: x box – the inverse of the check box
Will not work in Sweden as "x" means the same as "v" on the paper
networkid··on Russia gives Google 24 hours to delete banned content
