nbar1··on Covid-19’s impact on Tor
I feel for the people at Tor who were let go. My company was in the same position and I was unfortunately on the list of people who had their position terminated. While I am upset that I am now unemployed I also can understand how a company can be put in a difficult position during this time. I will survive, and I hope they do too.
nbar1··on Covid-19’s impact on Tor
I use Amazon Smile to donate to Tor. It's not much, but it's something.
nbar1··on AT&T, T-Mobile sold real-time location data: Make a legal claim under their ToS
I wouldn't give this website my information.
nbar1··on What to do if you’re stopped by the police
To check for outstanding warrants.
nbar1··on GitHub for Mobile
I would quite like to know when a PR is in movement that I'm involved in.
nbar1··on Code Health: Respectful Reviews == Useful Reviews
Practices like this are ridiculous. Of course you should be respectful in a code review, but you should also be to the point and ask questions if you don't understand why they did something they did, even if there is a "better" way you know of. That's how people learn.

The examples they give are just bad.

nbar1··on Breaking Down the Chrome Web Store
The below information is incorrect. Chrome HD Themes has the most extensions, not most downloads

Original comment: That "developer" is Chrome HD Themes and the extensions are themes.

nbar1··on GitHub is running extra copies, indexed by Google
Is GitHub not indexed by Google anyway? I'm probably out of the loop on something here.
nbar1··on First .dev Domains Go Live
The content on those domains is highly relevant and appears to be thorough. What do you think a non-profit could have used them for that would be better?
nbar1··on This person does not exist
Second one I got was an Indian man.
nbar1··on Google shifted $23B to tax haven Bermuda in 2017
It was never dropped, it is still in Google's Code of Conduct. It's not, however, included in Alphabets.

nbar1··on Google shifted $23B to tax haven Bermuda in 2017
This is just how business works at that level.

Don't like it? Me either, but Google is still playing by the rules.

nbar1··on Facebook reportedly discredited critics by linking them to George Soros
I feel like at this point, anyone using Facebook still is using it because of their addiction or for business purposes.
nbar1··on Chrome OS: Ready for Web Development [video]
Only the Google Chromebooks are priced high, and still isn't even close to the Macbook.

There are many offerings from other company for just a few hundred dollars that run Chrome OS.

nbar1··on Chrome 69 will keep Google Cookies when you tell it to delete all cookies
Not really. People could be in debt, people could be taking care of their parents or other family members. You are making a lot of assumptions because you think everyone who works at Google is rich.
nbar1··on Chrome 69 will keep Google Cookies when you tell it to delete all cookies
Not everyone is in a position to walk away from a job in hopes to land a new one in a week. People have families, bills, obligations.
nbar1··on Facebook Is Letting Job Advertisers Target Only Men
Yes, you can advertise to only one sex. The problem is they advertised a job ad.
nbar1··on Service Workers
Unfortunately, until Apple gets onboard we aren't willing to take advantage of them at my job.
nbar1··on Vaping 'can damage vital immune system cells'
>The review concluded there was "overwhelming evidence" they were far safer than smoking and "of negligible risk to bystanders"
nbar1··on Prime Down: Amazon’s sale day turns into fail day
The only marketing I've seen for it was the tape on my packages the last few weeks.
nbar1··on Facebook Makes Moves on Instagram Users
I don't see this as an issue. Google does it with all of their products.

If you own a flooring company and a cabinet company, you're going to try to convince your flooring customers to buy your cabinets.

nbar1··on Facebook lifts cryptocurrency ban amid rumours of Coinbase takeover
If you read the comment you replied to, he states they are vulnerable to one of the big 5 competing against them and wiping out their business model. This isn't hard to classify at all, it's a matter of fact.
nbar1··on Elon Musk’s Boring Co. Wins Chicago Airport High-Speed Train Bid
People who don't go early and wait around.
nbar1··on SourceForge's GitHub Importer
We've come full circle. Except this circle has adware.
nbar1··on How I Automated My Job
I like what the guy did, but am I the only one who feels most of these "I did x with y" articles always end up trying to sell you something? What happened to just sharing our knowledge with each other?
nbar1··on Google Workers Urge C.E.O. To Pull Out of Pentagon A.I. Project
The point is certainly valid. If Google steps out of this, they are just going to find someone to fill those shoes.
nbar1··on Amazon Echo Look
I think people might be missing a use case... It will map your exact body type and then allow you to try on clothes with AR through your phone screen.
nbar1··on Show HN: Websites and Apps Built Without a Single Line of Code
Yeah... "promised"

Consider the trend we're seeing where a company is acquired and ultimately shut down. Those "promises" are (likely) no longer even the founders decision. What happens then?

Edit: it may also be a good idea to disclose that you're the founder/CEO of a Bubble partner.
