nalekberov··on YouTuber Says Cops Visited Him After He Built a Flock-Style Camera to Track Cops
Well, actually mostly Average Joes become cops. As a matter of fact those Average Joes stalked on random people with 'LOL' in reason column.
nalekberov··on Yandex Takes a Second Data Center Hit in 48 Hours
If only Ukraine could understand that it is actually doing Russian citizens a favor.
nalekberov··on PS5 Jailbreaks Are Escalating at an Unprecedented Pace
Let's talk once you have reverse engineered a single thing in this world.
nalekberov··on PS5 Jailbreaks Are Escalating at an Unprecedented Pace
Well, try to jailbreak iOS on iPhone version >X.

On PS5 it's done in couple of seconds.

More like open-to-utilize-full-capacity in that case.

Not all software, obviously. Apple is notoriously good at producing "black box" products.

nalekberov··on JetBrains reports revenue growth, net financial loss for 2025
I don't care much about JetBrains, but I hope they IDEA a FOSS application as soon as they realize it's the end of the road.
nalekberov··on JetBrains reports revenue growth, net financial loss for 2025
IDEA-based IDEs are not the only editors in the world, buddy.
nalekberov··on Friendship ended with Deno, now Node is my best friend
oh wait, Node.Js finally removed 'Black Lives Matter' banner?
nalekberov··on Turn off Apple Intelligence on macOS 27 and get its disk space back
"fully functioning feature" -- more like fully functioning forceware/crapware which holds significant space.

So, it's not for "what ever reason", it's quite a reason to reject this.

nalekberov··on What Meta got right with Muse
I don't get it. What muse does it better than others? it's just chat app connected to AI service.
nalekberov··on Backblaze drive stats for Q2 2026
Thanks for the textbook definition of a logical fallacy, buddy. (Your idiocy has no limits)

> If a single HDD failing is traumatic then you're doing something wrong. At absolute minimum you should be in raid1. Backups should amount to snapshots that can be restored in a single step.

I wasn't storing anything important on it anyway, mostly movies ripped from Blu-rays. So its failure wasn't traumatic. However I expected it to last at least three years, but it died after exactly 365 days of use. The seller refused to send a replacement, and legally speaking, they were in the right.

nalekberov··on Backblaze drive stats for Q2 2026
How long have they been spinning 24/7?

idk, it was such a traumatic experience for me that I decided to pass on recertified HDDs.

nalekberov··on Backblaze drive stats for Q2 2026
Never buy a recertified drive, talking from my own experience, my recertified Seagate Exos X16 failed exactly after a year. They are very cheap for a reason.

It failed for a reason before, so it will likely fail again before the end of its usual lifecycle.

nalekberov··on Backblaze drive stats for Q2 2026
Meanwhile my 2.5" HDDs are still alive after more than 10 years. Sure they are not actively used, but still remarkable.
nalekberov··on LinkedIn Larpmaxxing
Why would you visit LinkedIn nowadays to begin with? Like besides corporate clowns who is genuinely active there?
nalekberov··on Pirating the Pirates
Oh I see, you didn’t get the joke then.
nalekberov··on Pirating the Pirates
pardon me?
nalekberov··on Palantir founder purchases large swath of forest in Sweden
> Alex Karp, CEO of Palantir Technologies, purchased 15,000 hectares (37,000 acres) of forest in Härjedalen, Sweden, for 235 million kronor ($22 million).

Seems like he could buy all of Sweden's forests if he wanted to.

nalekberov··on Pirating the Pirates
Nothing really special about it, it costs 15.99 EUR/month, Blu-Ray lots are very cheap now. DVDs are even cheaper, plus you get to own them forever.
nalekberov··on Pirating the Pirates
I will say this again, and again, and again: thanks to piracy, I got to watch many amazing movies, especially those that came out before the 2000s. Eventually I bought lots of DVDs and Blu-Rays, CDs( heck I even rediscovered my music in taste).

I'm not sure which is more morally wrong: preserving works of art for future generations, or destroying them for profit.

nalekberov··on Goodbye Google
AI being mostly marketing stunt is a conspiracy? If you fear that AI will take over, sorry, but you are already brainwashed.
nalekberov··on Goodbye Google
What is the point you are trying to make?
nalekberov··on Goodbye Google
Wasn’t that clear from the very beginning?
nalekberov··on Goodbye Google
If you think it’s wrong, just leave, who needs your fearmongering when it doesn’t even move the needle?

Or you think, those scumbag billionaires will care more when people fear more?

nalekberov··on How can this Amazon scammer keep going, not shipping any goods?
People now have so many toys to be busy with.
nalekberov··on How can this Amazon scammer keep going, not shipping any goods?
> Recall that governments govern at the pleasure of their people.

Not when resources are being controlled by those who have the power. (For example, in Azerbaijan the Aliyevs have ruled for decades -- using oil wealth to buy everything and everyone)

It's like saying you can just refuse to use AI, when in actuality your employer will punish you for not using it.

nalekberov··on No Sloptober
I would love to, but hardly I could do that. I am desperately looking for a job, and AI is the only way I can be “fast enough” while applying to jobs as soon as possible.

I really don’t like 90% of stuff “AI” bring today, but employers today are literally forcing you to use them.
