Not true for me at all, it fails at the most basic tasks, sometimes even at tasks it has done before. Three examples:
- "Timer 5 minutes" -> Loading spinner is shown. Siri disappears after a few seconds. No error, no confirmation. I then have to manually check if the timer was set or not (it was not).
- "Turn on the lights in the living room" to which it responds "Sorry, I cannot do that". I have Phillips Hue lights that are connected to Apple Home, of course Siri can do that. It did that before.
- "Add tooth paste to my shopping list". The shopping list is a list I have in reminders. It then tries to search for the query on Google. I then tried "Add tooth paste to the list shopping list in reminders" which worked, but if I have to be this wordy, it is no longer any convenient.
There are many more simple cases in which Siri always / sometimes fails. I also have the feeling that it performs far worse if asked in my native language (German) than in English.
I have seen this comment on Reddit a few months ago, and some people were talking about it. They came to the conclusion that you cannot see the Sihl.
The commenter was talking about army movements, units which actually collide with each other.
This feature would fix alot of the problems with centering fonts (icon and text) vertically, which is currently not really possible, at least not easily.
I never want to buy from any black-market dealer ever again, once these cannabis clubs are up and running.
Could be wrong though, just writing this from memory.
The reports mention what is happening in Gaza, the shelling, the ground invasion, the civilian casulaties, the humanitarian crisis (no water / electricity / no food etc.). I think one problem in this war is that there is a lot of propaganda going around, and there is not enough reliable impartial information. So just because the Hamas is reporting that Israel bombed a hospital (as an example), that the media will immediately pick up on that. For example, bombing a hospital sounds bad, but what if the hospital was acticely used by Hamas terrorists for ammunition storage, and even fighting from there? Is is now OK for Israel to attack the hospital? I don't think the media should immediately pick that up, because that information is not verified, and could as well be propaganda.
In my opinion, one of the reasons the palestinian people are suffering so much is because of Hamas, and how they use civilian infrastructure and hide in the population as their strategy. There is no way for Isreael to "win" without massive civilian casualties. And we should also not forget that Hamas is not innocent, they are not "just defending" their country. They started a war, which they are now loosing. You cannot attack another nation state, and then expect them not to do anything about it?
Also keep in mind that Hamas is recognized as a terrorist organization in Germany, while Israel and Germany maintain good political relations. It makes sense that Germany is more supportive of Israel.
In the Kickstarter video she shows how you can hang pants with it: You split the coat hanger in half (where the 2 'triangles' are connecting by a plastic piece), and then just put the pants on half of the coat hanger. I guess it is the same as just folding the coat hanger and only using one half, but it looks tidier this way.
Maybe someone wrote a script that automatically scrapes the website and downloads the newest driver automatically?
Ideally Amazon would do something against this, but I think they just don‘t care.
I just started telegram inside a Windows 10 VM, to check if Telegram actually needs that much memory. In my VM with 1024MB of RAM, the Telegram client uses only around 45MB. If the system gets 2048MB of RAM, Telegram will use around 160MB, if available. The client still works fine. Probably a lot slower, but it works fine.
I think your comment is misguided. The Telegram client is not heavy-weight. It just uses the ressources you machine provides it, giving you better performance.
Not everything has to be visible all the time, settings can be grouped, and the user can be guided through the settings piece-by-piece, instead of just putting every option next to each other.
This does not have a GUI because making a good GUI is alot of work + the target demographic are more technical people that are able to use the CLI, so why put in all the effort?
I think it is literally impossible to exit the program without a mouse, after you did something that requires saving.
macOS is really limited when in comes to displays, because the display must have a PPI of around 110, or a multiple of that. It sucks how bad macOS is at scaling, especially with the terrible font rendering.
If you are using a markdown viewer it should render nicely, if you are using a text editor there is just a path where the image should be, so also no problem.
Some editors like Typora can be configured to automatically save images next to the markdown file, which is really helpful.
Many people have a lot of windows open, and many of them of the same app (not unusual to have 5+ explorer windows open). Not being able to directly click on the right one is a big loss. Just because you don't do work that requires that kind of feature, does not mean that other people don't need it either.
Just invest in renewable energies, which are better overall
