mrtobo··on Ask HN: What's the endgame of the AI comments buried in every post?
Any articles or docs in which I can learn more about this industry?
mrtobo··on ICE plans to equip agents with gloves that can deliver electric shocks
... especially for doling out extrajudicial punishment without repercussion.
mrtobo··on LearnVector – Andrew Ng's AI company building one‑to‑one learning experiences
founded by and belongs to aren't the same thing
mrtobo··on LearnVector – Andrew Ng's AI company building one‑to‑one learning experiences
He's on the board, at least - "belongs to" isn't correct.
mrtobo··on SEC acquiring AI agents to monitor phone locations, social media, credit headers
The FBI, CIA and probably local police forces are already using it. Why not the SEC?
mrtobo··on How do you guys keep up with AI news?
I have an LLM digest it for me and post it all here 5x/day (it's how I found this post): https://ada-blog-seven.vercel.app
mrtobo··on Show HN: Dr. Wong – an AI space for journaling and self-reflection
Zero chance I would do this in the cloud, personally.
mrtobo··on Ben Bernanke Joins Anthropic Oversight Trust
Oh come on, like any other AI company is better? They all remind me of a comical villain - Anthropic the least.
mrtobo··on Ask HN: What are you building that's not AI related?
A Chrome extension that helps you efficiently declutter stale tabs.
mrtobo··on AI isn't killing jobs, it's 'unbundling' them into lower-paid chunks
It's cute you think seniors are getting paid more.
mrtobo··on Ask HN: Share your personal website
Mostly nothing but here I am https://nick.tobol.ski
mrtobo··on Bonobos use a kind of syntax once thought to be unique to humans
Anyone know where we can hear such recordings?
mrtobo··on An experiment in UI density created with Svelte
Yes.
mrtobo··on Ask HN: How to Focus Again?
You're potentially insulting the reader who was looking for answers to the question.
mrtobo··on ZSA Voyager: Low profile split keyboard
Mounting a wired keyboard never seemed practical to me.
mrtobo··on Ask HN: How to deal with burnout and its consequences?
It doesn't sound like burnout as much as a bad fit.

Go work for a good manager.

mrtobo··on Meta stock price drops more than 20%
Tested a short bet yesterday. Was not disappoint.
mrtobo··on Ask HN: How to break my habit of folding legs on chair and hunchback?
+1 Alexander Technique. I struggled for years to find something that brought relief to a chronic neck/shoulder issue I'd been having.

Turns out one of the exercises from this technique was the key and I've been way more comfortable and capable on the daily since.

mrtobo··on Great Man-Made River
Reminds me of something I built in Factorio.
mrtobo··on NES.css – NES-Style CSS Framework
Opening a dialog shouldn't scroll you to the top of the page. Also, this doesn't work at all in mobile.

Great effort, though!

mrtobo··on Ask HN: Where do you regularly discover interesting links on internet?
Whoa.
mrtobo··on Show HN: A Reddit reader that looks like the frontpage of a print newspaper
Yep, fully justified text in a browser still looks like dog shit.

edit: clarity

mrtobo··on Bernie Sanders' 404 page
He says "scoot down", not "scroll..."

Corrected:

Hi, this is senator Bernie Sanders. The good news is you're on the right website - and it's a really good website - the bad news is you're at the wrong page. Just scoot down to the bottom of the page and you'll find your way back home to where you should be. Thanks very much for being a part of our campaign.
