Which is interesting.. however their landing page sure doesn't make it at all clear as to what is going on.

I had to re-read the first paragraph multiple times until I understood the goat was not tethered to the center.
>There was no influence
Go here again https://www.intelligence.senate.gov/press/senate-intel-relea... and open up the 4 PDF's Volume 1/2/3/4
Open Volume 2.
Search for the word "influence". You might notice you have about a billion matches. Here is one significant quote
>Arriving at a similar conclusion, an Oxford Internet Institute study-of 17 million tweets posted during the 2016 election found that bots "reached positions of measurable influence," and "did infiltrate the upper cores of influence and were thus jn a position to significantly influence digital communications during the 2016 U.S. election."
So, you are going to continue to state "there was no influence" even though hundreds of pages of reports from the Senate Intel say otherwise?
Either you use WhatsApp or you don't talk to people.
And I'm not saying this is a bad thing, really.. I think "monopolies" have their place in standardizing things that we do and it makes it convenient.
(Side note: if fucking Apple would open up iMessage on android/windows they would OWN the chat market in a matter of minutes in the US)
But there does get to a point where you cannot say "people use it because they like it". Most people use it solely because everyone else uses it.
Just like Facebook. There is no "alternative" for real-life profile social media. If you want to use that type of social media, Facebook is the only thing whether you like it or not.
>The ICA correctly found the Russians interfered in our 2016 election to hurt Secretary Clinton and help the candidacy of Donald Trump
>The Committee finds the Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) presents a coherent and well-constructed intelligence basis for the case that Russia engaged in an attempt to interfere with the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
Why do you say "supposed Russian influence" when a Republican led senate confirmed this?
>The ICA correctly found the Russians interfered in our 2016 election to hurt Secretary Clinton and help the candidacy of Donald Trump
>The Committee finds the Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) presents a coherent and well-constructed intelligence basis for the case that Russia engaged in an attempt to interfere with the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
I'm not sure why people go around saying that Russian interference was not a real thing? The REPUBLICAN senate confirmed this.
So yeah, there's really no "competition". Either you have whatsapp or you don't talk to people.
And it's highly used for cross-business communication in Europe, I can tell you that.
You are making me think when my mom was obsessed with it, and she started to actively think of toasters (for whatever reason). There was an old school screensaver on probably a windows 2000ish computer that had the flying toasters she never noticed.
She was CONVINCED the universe changed on her and made that screensaver out of thin air, instead of the simple notion that she was now consciously trying to make herself aware of toasters, which is why she never really noticed it before. Sigh.
Then you might actually be a descent software engineer. It's when you stop worrying if you're good enough that you are most likely falling behind.
Have you typed 'propaganda on hackernews' or on facebook/twitter/reddit or any other social media?
Everything in the world is going to have some form of propaganda to some degree. And honestly, having used tiktok a small amount, it seems way less than most social media out here. You generally have to even work hard to find anything that is political, most of it is completely random shit that has zero agenda.
Also, what kind of credibility could anyone attach to it?
Hey TikTok claims that Person A liked video B on date C. And what proof do they have? They could already just create a bunch of fake logs like this.
I hate to break it to you, but a site like reddit is 1000000x more incriminating for anyone than tiktok is.
Have you ever actually used tiktok? How is it being used to spread propoganda?
>farm user data
LOL. Yeah, please tell me how they are doing anything different than the other billion apps you download on your phone and sign-in through google or whatever.
>and is considered a national security threat
Because of... why?
1 million metric tons = 1 million cubic meters. That's only a 100m cube of water..
I will often turn on our vent, but it's certainly not something I'm doing every time I turn on the stove..
At any time, you can download your google docs data and have it locally. You can convert it to word/excel formats.
This makes anything you are trying to argue completely irrelevant.
If they basically forced you to keep your data in their proprietary format online-only, then maybe you have an argument.. but since this is not true you are grasping at straws here.
Everyone knows that we are so far removed from assembly that it creates zero confusion in reality.. javascript caused real confusion.
The point is, just because you are working from home (and have access to 100% of what you 'need' for work since you are always working from home) doesn't mean you should be expected to be on call at any time just because "you can".
The people with money do what they can to keep propping things up because they are the ones that massively gain on it. They can afford to keep risking and risking, cashing out when it's convenient and if they take a hit? Oh well, I lost 50%.. or 500m. But you know what? I still have 500 million fucking dollars! As opposed to the normal people in which a 50% loss is devastating.
It is such insanity how much money the people pulling the strings have. And they have convinced people "hey throw all your money into our gambling pot of doom!"
What? Gold us physically useful and relatively scarce, THAT is why it has value.
You are acting like people just got together and said "hey, let's take this useful hunk of garbage and assign it some value to see how rich we all are".
Gold is a physical thing that is scarce and has real uses other than being treated as 'money'. We have only mined a cube with 28 meter sides of gold from the dawn of time! It's useful- that's why it has value.
If it wasn't useful (pretty for jewelry and an essential industry product) then it would be fairly worthless.
You say crypto is scarce? The scarcity is artificial, and you can create an infinite number of crypto currencies...
Yes we do...
Why in the utter hell would I ever use crypto that has ABSOLUTLY ZERO GUARANTEE after I pay someone?
Hmm.. I seem to remember creating an excel file for this client a while back.. open Everything -> filter client.xlsx .. boom. Or maybe I didn't name it properly, at all? Well still just a simple '*.xlsx' and sort by date, I can generally find anything this way. As long as you let Everything open on windows startup, it will be instant after use.
