MS Team, MS Team V2, MS team V2(New). Yeah microsoft has been suffering from ADHD forever.
mrheosuper··on Responsible Release of AI-Generated Mathematics
Whatabout mathematical progress that ruins humanity even more ? e.g a much more addicted algorithm than tiktok/facebook reel.
mrheosuper··on PS5 Relapse Exploit
The BC250 uses fail SOC that can not be put into PS5. Rather than just throwing them away, they can turn off what is broken and sell it.
mrheosuper··on PS5 Relapse Exploit
Then you have Steam Machine. Also take a look at its price tag.
mrheosuper··on PS5 Relapse Exploit
I bet my $5 they already knew about that exploit, but no one made "official" report it, so they can turn the blind eye.

"PS5 running Linux" was hot news months ago.

mrheosuper··on NASA asked several former SR-71A staffers to help secret restart
Can the plane just carry....the starter ?, it's another 200-300kg of payload, may affect the max range, etc, but much more convenient.
mrheosuper··on Coding is not solved
MS obviously setting up CI/CD on their product, that means whatever the AI was outputting, should have reached user hand by now. Yet we see no improvement in quality
mrheosuper··on Coding is not solved
IDE is definitely not abstraction of vi.

Are you saying Microsoft does not have CI/CD pipeline ? If no, where is the "delivery" ?
mrheosuper··on Kids turned low-traffic NPR Spotify comments into a secret group chat
There is non-zero chance it's on the tape sitting on the shelf in some unknown warehouse.

By that logic, the software by the top AI-token maxxer(Microsoft, meta, Twitter) will be much, much better than ever.

Is Windows much better than they were 2 years ago, why didn't MS just point Astra/Fable(or whatever SOTA, non-public model they have access to) to Windows kernel and ask it "make it 10x faster" ? Are they stupid ?

mrheosuper··on Coding is not solved
If AI is an abstraction, then it's a really shitty abstraction, because i have to dig into lower level all the time to understand what it is doing and tell it to what to optimize.

>You can't do that by hand.

Oh we are already doing that in critical system(of course not "run this software in every scenario possible", that is not possible with or without LLM).

mrheosuper··on As A.I. makes law firms more efficient, clients ask: 'Where's my discount?'
An absurd claim presented without evidence.
mrheosuper··on As A.I. makes law firms more efficient, clients ask: 'Where's my discount?'
Not really fair comparison. I agree they are ripping us, but the "template" is like a source code. It takes time and money to write and maintain it.
mrheosuper··on Video CDs Break Windows Explorer
An online /dev/null. Cool
mrheosuper··on Replacing the old battery on rechargeable bike lights
Aren't those dynamos going to wear down your tire quite fast ?

mrheosuper··on An agent used DNS to reach an external chatbot
O_O People when nondeterministic system is nondeterministic.
mrheosuper··on When did Google get so weird?
Back in the day, GG search was so reliable that when stuff like that happened, people think it's intentional
mrheosuper··on Nobody Asked for a Crab Chair
Nobody asked for phone with only 1 button in 2007 too.
mrheosuper··on Google’s Project Suncatcher to put ML infrastructure in space

mrheosuper··on The newest ESP32 can run Linux and it's getting close to a Raspberry Pi
Bes2700(a lot of variant, 1 with wifi)
mrheosuper··on Nokia Design Archive (2025)
Airpod is the most successful bluetooth headphone ever.

Apple watch is also on the list.

> There was little mention of security on the iPhone. Perhaps it lacks VPN, secure e-mail.

Turn out average people care little about that.

mrheosuper··on The newest ESP32 can run Linux and it's getting close to a Raspberry Pi
The OG ESP32 also has bluetooth classic, which only recently comes back to S31.

> a microcontroller will not have OoO execution

Similar to a lot of old cortex-A soc.

>multiple tiers memory

The S31 also has cache and sram, with inpackage psram.

> Usually they also lack an mmu

The S31 has mmu.

The s31 wroom-3 modules cost 40CNY from official espressif store. A significant more expensive than S3, but it brings a lot to table.

There are a lot of competitors in China, the BK7258 is arguably better than S3, but cost similar.

And if you are willing to sign NDA, there are much better offer from BES.

mrheosuper··on The newest ESP32 can run Linux and it's getting close to a Raspberry Pi
Few years ago we were experiment with a smartwatch that has "Wear-os like" interface. You can get really far with only 5MB of RAM.
mrheosuper··on The newest ESP32 can run Linux and it's getting close to a Raspberry Pi
There are a lot of competitors, in fact, in term of value the ESP32 is really bad.

The only thing Espressif does good is SDK support.
