mrheosuper··on “Math 2.0” will need to value mathematical progress more holistically
Why not asking another chatbot to verify, like what we are doing with coding ?
mrheosuper··on Google Playground: Create and play custom games
For google: They could add virtual currency, and the games will use that currency

For "creator": Donation link, with some "pay 2 win" items.

mrheosuper··on Google Playground: Create and play custom games
you mean Roblox ? Kids have been making game way before the adult figuring out the LLM slop
mrheosuper··on Reasons to Dislike AI Coding
you can practice "critical thinking" at any levels. I bet you don't practice "critical thinking" in ASM or raw binary.

So instead of asking the clanker "fix ticket 1734", you can ask it to write the function that input x and output y, in that file. You still, in some way, "practice critical thinking", while not manually writing code.

mrheosuper··on 'Jonathan' is the oldest land animal on Earth
Maybe leaving the water is a mistake...
mrheosuper··on Mistral Large 4
Because nothing forces the Chinese to make their next SOTA model open-weight.
mrheosuper··on Mistral Large 4
>when Chinese labs are doing more with less

I need a source for this. AFAIK, the government heavily subsidize those labs.

mrheosuper··on Mistral Large 4
>that value consumer rights

yeah, like BMW subscription for heated seat.

mrheosuper··on Type Safe Generic Data Structures in C (2025)
Care to elaborate more ? is it suck because it's toxic to human ?

Most elements on periodic table is toxic to human.

mrheosuper··on Xbox has secured exclusive GTA 6 streaming rights
There is an episode about implant subscription
mrheosuper··on OpenTPU – An open-source AI accelerator, developed by AI
why selling 1 high-efficiency AI chip when you can sell 10 low-efficiency GPU ?
mrheosuper··on AnyPS5: Port PS5 binaries to PC without emulation (87% system libraries mapped)
You should stop using internet. High chance that the code run the infrastructure you use is partly modified by LLM.
mrheosuper··on Couple was swatted 55 times in 2 years over a post about Norm Macdonald
No one asks them to fish out all the internet troll, just fish out the one that does 55 swatting-call, which, i bet is not that many
mrheosuper··on Photopea creator weighs in on Photosuite project
"useful" does a lot of heavy lifting here. More features != more useful
mrheosuper··on Couple was swatted 55 times in 2 years over a post about Norm Macdonald
Investigating and solving the real root cause ? Who reported the crime, trace back to the troll ?
mrheosuper··on The AI boom is making the cheapest smartphones disappear
Wrong, cheapest smartphone will always exist.
mrheosuper··on Best-selling Zigbee temperature sensors tested and compared
The datasheet will gives you absolute best case scenario. Like current consumption in sleep mode, or what register to set for best accuracy. It does not mean the Firmware will do exactly that.
mrheosuper··on The first fully implanted cochlear implant reaches patients
I wonder what stops us from doing the same with the eyes.

Even in the future, maybe sensor is advance enough so that even normal person may consider to get implant to have better vision ?

mrheosuper··on Apple and a hacker's future
Most of "basic security practice" assume that software does not have or have very few, hard-to-discover bugs.

For Ex, the best practice is to use VPN, so you only open port for VPN, and you assume whatever VPN protocol/software does not have any bugs.

You can use tailscale so you dont have to open port, but after all, tailscale is also software.

mrheosuper··on Apple and a hacker's future
> you'd get hacked by clicking the wrong link or just opening an email than it was on a Windows machine

Is it because of most of virus/malware target Windows OS due to its sheer size, or because MacOS security system is more superior than Windows ?

I also less likely to get hack if i open url link on templeOS

mrheosuper··on Turn off Apple Intelligence on macOS 27 and get its disk space back
How about stop deciding for me. I love to see my disk free space.
mrheosuper··on Amazon introduces a redesigned Kindle family
I honestly don't see the appeal of Kindle ereader anymore. There are countless one from China, run Android, with comparable Eink screen.
mrheosuper··on What is going on with ceiling fans
Imagine having to take a second mortgage on your house for the ceiling fan
mrheosuper··on Various Projects Find Hidden SDR Capabilities in ESP32 Microcontrollers
The ESP32S3 support PSRAM, can we redirect the sample to PSRAM, then hooking Logic Analyzer on PSRAM, thus getting the sample directly, not through any digital interface. (There is cache before PSRAM, but should be trivial to sync).
mrheosuper··on Show HN: JBR-001 – An open-source 3D printable desktop robot
Not every project costs $1000. In fact, most arduino project i saw cost less than $200 in BOM.
mrheosuper··on Show HN: JBR-001 – An open-source 3D printable desktop robot
A lot. The official uno r3 is around $30 while the clone can be as cheap as $5.

Which does not sound much, but to someone living in less developed country, that matters a lot

mrheosuper··on Show HN: JBR-001 – An open-source 3D printable desktop robot
I’m sad that it uses the Uno Q. I really dislike the uno Q, since it uses QC SoC, which means no cheap Chinese clone, which is not very accessible to everyone.
mrheosuper··on Coding is not solved
MS Team, MS Team V2, MS team V2(New). Yeah microsoft has been suffering from ADHD forever.
mrheosuper··on Responsible Release of AI-Generated Mathematics
Whatabout mathematical progress that ruins humanity even more ? e.g a much more addicted algorithm than tiktok/facebook reel.
mrheosuper··on PS5 Relapse Exploit
The BC250 uses fail SOC that can not be put into PS5. Rather than just throwing them away, they can turn off what is broken and sell it.
