I still miss MFC/windows programming a lot, I think in many ways it's quite efficient.

But for job seeking it's not a good idea, opening for windows gui is quite rare.

Maybe I should setup a web(!!) For lonely job seeker on windows programming / and Delphi/lisp/scheme / all other good oldies forgotten by rest of the world.

if you want to get into software development, just go to any so called "boot-camp" class for few couple months.

I don't know how its done in US or other countries. But in my country (some small island in west side of Pacific Ocean), some properties just left empty for very long time since no one can afford that piece of thing.

Lots of recruiter I met are kind of these people, talking to them are pretty much waste of time. The best approach is to talk to them just by phone in a very short time, which won't cost too much if you eventually found it's waste of time.
