He did sell out though, launching a billion dollar crypto ico which is now at a valuation of around million dollar. Sure anyone would be happiest person ever.

what is state of the art today that compares to ActiveDirectory (not talking azureAd - or whatever they call it these days) ?
was a crazy episode
I am very intrigued to find out how this would fit in, if at all.
I tried writing another algorithm for network splitting but didn't get any better results. [1]: https://www.csg.uzh.ch/publications/details.php?id=1007
many more that i didnt list.
Would be great if you can also include some examples for Europe.
Of couse, i would be up to do some digging if you need help.
Eventually i got super fristrated and made a fresh azure trial account for them and boom everything works.
I cannot understand how gcp is so bad at ux and support. Most of the engineers i know at google are the absolute smartest people i know, how in the heck can it be the product experience at gcp is so lousy.
(disclaimer: i agree to security issues and stuff due to not updating, i manage my firwalls and adblocks to prevent getting hacked, and take full responsibility in case i get hacked, thank you).
A few years back when i was consulting, my manager threw me in a meeting for a client wanting to use ping identity to synchronize their identity data for sso. The client wanted a cheap solution as their ping sso budget was overblown already so i tried making a call with powershell to ping sso which worked. We agreed on a day next week to write this client in powershell (which i didnt have much clue about at that time).
Took a book called powershell in a month of lunches and just started doing the lessons in my train rides from my work to home over the week (2hrs in total a day).
The next week when i met the client, we finished writing the sync client in less than a day including testing. The client later told my ex-manager, that it was the cheapest and fastest IT solution they got.
Tl;dr: amazing book to learn powershell: powershell in a month of lunches.
Of course, I can't blame anyone. Its easy for me to say anything chilling on a couch behind a screen. Cant imagine the stress the regulators and board went through to get this out before monday morning to plug the disaster waiting to happen if CS just went belly up blocking businesses and everyone involved with CS.
Lets hope this stops soon.
The thing i am unhappy about, to reiterate myself, is bundling CS to UBS. I am invested in UBS as well, and guess what, i will lose way more on that investment due to this forced merger.
If the govt. just unwound the assets slowly, it won't affect a relatively healthy bank, which was saved in 2008.
I hope i am wrong, but i feel like ubs prices are gonna fall like a knife at the opening tomorrow, unless the SNB starts buying it.
I would have been happier, if they just nationalized the bank and unwound it, even if i got less pennies per dollar invested or even zero. Now we will get another bank that will be holding the baggage. Amazing :|
long term treasuries are extremely risky assets, by definition and move a lot on interest rates. whereas short term treasuries like less than three momths barely move on fed rates, hence much safer.
Svb bank made the wrong choice of holding super long duration treasuries. They knew what they were getting into, and did it anyway for higher yield at that time. they could have put the money in 3 month expirations and wouldnt have been in this situation.
I invest in treasuries when interests are high or gonna stay high. If i see us hitting a recession in coming year, i keep mostly cash and start piling into treasuries over each hike cycle until at least the central banks start cutting rates and keep riding the treasuries till rates keep moving down.
Or in other words, dont fight the fed
Can you explain what am i missing here ?
I rely on the physical store i buy from where i live. that's the reason i only buy either physically or from amazon germnay (their support had been rock solid in the last 10 years i had been using them).
Been using in my threadrupper workstation with a lot of vms which are put to sleep every day with around .25tb written and read each time the vms are started. keep in mind these are 22110 form factor
