I think it's good to make another browser. Trying to improve on existing things benefits everyone. Just downloaded it, it's got some nice touches I've not seen in other browsers.
I did a couple of months and quite liked it. Couple of downsides/notes.
1. I do a lot of sport (sprints/track & Field) and it's no good for the dynamic sports as I found out. Energy from fat explosive events because the free fatty acids can’t produce ATP quickly enough. Carbohydrate metabolism occurs faster that fat metabolism, refilling ATP stores quicker, and improving short range (10-60 seconds) recovery better than Fats. http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2014-06/uosc-fts06021...
2. You're thirsty a lot - just keep your fluids up.
3. Your partner may not appreciate your acetone breath
4. Eat too many nuts and you'll probably get an itchy bum!
I've found the hardware to be decent with a Nokia 930, App store didn't concern me too much as the OS mostly comes with everything I need anyway. The OS is nice and usable and has some good stuff.
I've been on the beta getting the latest updates all the time, some of the long standing bugs are pretty frustrating (for the past 6 months I get reminded about 20 times a day that my Outlook settings are out of date - so I've mostly turned off notifications, no one has any idea on a fix).
Meanwhile I can see the attraction of switching to Android/IOS as all those users are happily going about their day with stuff which just works.
I think sitting might be bad for you in some ways. When you sit, your glutes are not activated so they become weak since they're not used (in the absence of any exercise) so your back suffers. At least if you stand, your glutes are used/activated. It might not increase your longevity but you'll probably have better posture.
Yeha, I'm a bit dumbfounded about the calling of the fire dept, the reaction and so on. I would have just figured out where it was coming from and cleaned it up myself with some gloves and a dustpan.
This is correct. Our payment provider GlobalCollect has passed us on a court ruling from Netherlands to state we don't need to pay any VAT since we're not physically there, even though we do sell there. A lot of payment processors like FastSpring, Avangate and Cleverbridge act as resellers for your products and are therefore obligated to charge and pass on VAT even if your company is not located there.
HideAway from www.firetrust.com is an always connected vpn, so gets around this issue. It offers rules for websites and applications so can always be on
Devs probably wouldn't find the split so bad if the general fee charged for apps was higher. It must be pretty hard to make a living on 99 cent apps unless you're wildly successful.
Friends also think it's a bit bizarre, but it works for me too and I'm used to it. Definitely feel more mentally alert - all the time, and don't get the after lunch tiredness anymore.
One big meal at dinner and a bit of grazing, although if I eat enough fat I don't feel like grazing later. I'm not completely militant about it, if someone asks me to meet up for lunch I'll go, but 95% of the time I stick with it. Plus it's nice to only have to make one decision about food a day and you save some $ from not buying lunch each day.
I eat dinner only, quite a lot for dinner and I can graze for the rest of the night. I like going to bed with a full stomach. I don't really get hungry during the day, drink plenty of water and exercise at 3:30, then I'm hungry after that. I eat most stuff, but keep pretty low on sugars, starchy stuff and eat more fat than most.
I've been eating once a day for the past 3.5 years and I'd read about the supposed immune system benefits. I've not had a cold/flu since then and I used to get 3-4 a year, so I'm sticking with it and I've become used to it anyway.
I don't think he'll sell many ice vests to women - they always seem to feel the cold. The women at work are always rugged up, while the guys (ok, all the guys do a lot of exercise) are mostly in shorts and t-shirts. In bed, my wife has a couple of duvets on, and I'm on the top of the bed with nothing on, sweating away. Maybe, based on the theories in this article, women would find it easier to lose weight if they let themselves get cold. But they already are.
Running on a treadmill (as in this experiment) is quite different from running on an all weather track as sprinters do. I wouldn't be surprised if they got quite different results if somehow they were able to measure this on a non-moving track.
They're doing pretty well for how much little info is on their website. What do they do? Apparently they're the easiest way to publish on social media...but there's not much more info
Speaking of cat food, 1/3 of pet foods contain brewers rice which has little or no nutritional value http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brewers_rice
For cats being completely carnivorous, I can't imagine carbs are doing them any favors.
Have a look at the yellow pages (not online) and visit all the companies who advertise a website. I think you'll find loads of them who say 'Under Construction' or who have a very basic website. I recall looking a few years back in the Yellow Pages Book and I was amazed at the amount of businesses who advertise a website but don't have one.
Anyone know why Voltarin (Diclofenac) works for hangovers? It's an anti-inflammatory drug. I have a 25mg tablet before going to bed after a big night, even if I've not had water before bed, I've never have a hangover/bad stomach/queezy/headache after taking one of these the night before.
A lot of this news can be overwhelming, so much noise and its futile to try and digest it all - you'll lose focus. If you let it get to you, it will - it's a bit like saying yes to everyone's demands and then trying to satisfy them and in the end you run yourself in to the ground.
I'd just make a plan and stick to it. Perhaps focus on the problems your customers are having to stop them calling.
