I don't know about that, it it looking more like Alcohol is heading down the path of cigarettes where the more unbiased funding and studies that are done, the worse it appears. There have been several convincing reviews[1] recently that showed an increased risk of cancer at any dosage.

Looks pretty interesting, so this is a product to sell to other web developers? Or is the target a regular technical person who wants to set up a twitter clone? I hadn't heard of Elgg before, did you find it easy to work with? Overall how has your experience been, have you had any buyers yet?
Also have you thought much about content moderation on the platform? Are you expecting that to be a big concern from potential buyers?
I think Kanye may be a terrible example for your point since people tend to listen to his music for the lyrics, which are often well crafted. Your point makes more sense for mass produced pop music where the lyrics for almost every major song are written by ~6 different groups. In that case most of the lyrics tend to have similar tone and themes and so it matters much less who is singing them.
Maybe a better approach would be to have a prompt at the top with unclear specifications, or some kind of riddle instead of a function name. It would also be good not to have a bank of problems, since someone could just pattern match on them, but to generate them automatically somehow.
This is a lot more interesting than finding traffic lights though, and the website looks well designed. Thank you for sharing!

Usually these are things that are specific to a company culture, if everyone there does daily stand-ups do daily stand-ups. Same for the focus, try to get a feel from your boss about what the company is focusing on and try to emphasize that at the meetings. In general, if you don't have a passion or good reason for believing in a different method, it is better to follow the practices they are most used to. Make friends with someone else at your level and ask their advice.
> What are the things I should focus on to show I'm ready for managing managers?
At some level it stops being about the managing(who is working on what) and more about trying to give people the resources to maximize their value. Managing managers isn't really considered by most to be managing like it is for low level workers. It is about giving people the opportunity to improve the company and setting direction. It is also about saying no to the right things.
Edit: Also this looks neat, thank you!
That sounds really amazing, I can't wait. That will really simplify using 32bit windows programs on a 64 bit OS.
> Autism is not a disease.
I will try to keep this in mind in the future.
I think the biggest issue is the complexity and scope of work. If you want a web browser, I can make you one over the weekend, it just will only work with a tiny subset of pages. To fully handle every website is so hard even Mozilla gave up on their rewrite of their engine, Servo. If it was easy, they probably would have finished.
If you are suggesting, "Why don't we all pay a bunch of progammers to make the world's best browser that is everything I want?", you can try, but everyone has different ideals about what a browser should be.
For instance a significant subgroup has sleep issues and elevated levels extra-axial CSF. Another had significant GI problems. Does it seem like those subgroups may have autism from different causes, and maybe different diseases?
Usually the food they cook is what the tribe does eat. Things have just changed over time.
It is neat and all to see young people doing fun stuff, but the title should also be: "Outline of benefits of Thorium over vanilla Chromium."
I think you already understand that they are unreasonable people. One answer is that the person who implemented/validated it and the person who decided it needs to be TCP were not communicating well.
It obviously works well enough as is, with the current system, so they probably aren't looking into how/if it works much.
I would just do it whatever way you want as long as you can meet whatever needs they have. Clients often specify that things need to done a certain very particular way, then never really care if it is done differently as long as it works.
I have been told before that a service only uses TCP when in fact when I tried connecting to it, it turned out to be only UDP. They didn't know, and bringing it up to them just made them confused and angry.
Actually please please don't.
I feel like they address this here, but I don't use macOS. Is there really a cut and paste option in Finder they missed? Or what is wrong there?
>we retrieve and analyze more than 2000 replication datasets with over 9000 unique R files published from 2010 to 2020.
> We find that 74\% of R files crashed in the initial execution, while 56\% crashed when code cleaning was applied, showing that many errors can be prevented with good coding practices.
In my experience a lot of code I have seen from researchers is very dependent on their setups and often hard codes file paths.
"Hey {NAME}, I saw you had a new job posting I think I would be a good fit for. We met a few years back, and I forgot to write back to you, sorry(I had some issues at that time that took a lot of my focus)."
Then continue on.
