I've never heard anybody say they 'like' an article from Wikipedia, but they might find it interesting, so they'd +1 it.
That is not a native solution, it's just a workaround.
Google and Mozilla are committed to security. Microsoft is too, and that is why they postponed the ending of support. It will be a chaotic world if Microsoft stops releasing security fixes to XP when it still has a big market share and allows malwares, botnets, etc. to be installed and propagated easily.
You are clearly forgetting where the web in general is going to. Browsers today serve as a wrapper to applications and NEED to be fast. Not a single web application today uses only 5 or 10 or 50 operations.

IE has made BIG impact in the speed of development. The fact that it has not kept up with other browsers only made that worse.
Even IE8 rendering and its javascript engine have problems. Those are not present on modern browsers and it obviously impacts development because IE needs to have specific testing and specific coding (mostly workarounds).
Did you expect other browsers to be like IE, so that we could have a "standard" on not having standards?
My PC has never had a crash with Windows 7, but then, I chose the hardware by hand.
I've never seen a PC take 2 min to start Windows 7. Unix would be seconds.
Can you please provide a link to that, I'd like to test/use it.

Grooveshark is not very good at that. You should know what you want to hear before you go there. Also, it appears to show only while the page is loading.
It makes sense to absorb heat when there is little or no snow, but it doesn't at all when snow covers all of the surface.
I've never seen a person that grew in a rich family be downright ugly.

[] http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=1337+*+pi%2F100WebM clearly outruns H264 on HD video. It doesn't lose color information and some image details due to compression, that can be seen quite easily on the HD video comparisons: the first one shows very different lighting, which can also be seen on the second, that is not to mention the "airbrushed" neck of the guy (and face, but not so noticeable).

People have used this feature before to "fake" results, although this time it is clearly legit. It's a shame Google doesn't register hash (#) locations.
I don't think they are equivalent. Your desk is just there for people to see it, but email is much more personal. I wouldn't want people messing on my e-mail, as I don't want them messing in my drawers . There is nothing to hide, but they are not an open book.
