But like always they didn't stop once they were a bit profitable with a few ads, instead they got greedier and greedier and made their product worse once they captured most of the market, I have wonder if there can exist some variant of capitalism that punishes becoming a bit too greedy, like a soft ceiling (tied to the minimum wage) over which most of the profits go to taxes, and a hard one where all profits over that go to taxes plus mandatory social work by its owners/executives.
There is a chunk of devs using AI that do it not because they believe it makes them more productive in the present but because it might do so in the near future thanks to advances on AI tech/models, and then some do it because they think it might be required from them to do it this way by their bosses at some point in the future, so they can show preparedness and give the impression of being up to date with how the field evolves, even if at the end it turns out it doesn't speed up things that much.
When spoken it helps to tell the user "my cases" in a monotonic voice (and/or slightly lower tone), which hints that is just a verbatim label (the reason this works is because it mimics how a lot of people sound when reading aloud).
Unlikely that is the case with this particular feature, its a feature request with near 2000 upvotes and more than 340 comments, plus a very hot topic in recent months.
As a non-american I find this too naive of a view, the third possibility is that is already pretty selective application of the law, Elon Musk brother publicly admitted being illegal immigrants for a few years (right next to Elon, in a recorded presentation), but rich people college frats are never where the raids happen, this already selective use of the law it's one of the infuriating things about it, not to mention all the other laws this administration is already breaking that will never be prosecuted.
My most charitable interpretation is that they are hiding their identities because they are afraid of any legal trouble, after all Roblox is an 81 billion organization.
No way to filter by subjects one may be interested, no way to find likeminded individuals, no way to mute people, so yeah, not much value could be derived from it; I think that there is space for some pseudo-anonymous social network but this is not it, at least not in its current state.
A fantasy of mine is to develop a fork of Unity but with an editor interface exactly like Flash, that transpiles Actionscript code to Unity's C#, or maybe a subset of typescript would be a better compromise given it's popularity (either by transpiling or by using node/deno bindings to Unity's Api), to truly make unity games as easy to make as flash games used to be, and with the option to export the project to real Unity in case you need to do something more advanced.
Something I don't understand is why is there such effort to crafting generators for all kinds of content but there isn't the same level of interest for crafting consumers of it? AIs that will play your games and watch your movies and tell you how good job "you" did? If is about money you don't have a chance because the monopolistic middlemen will hoard all space, e.g. Steam will generate the PC games that go popular, and whatever space is left will be quickly saturated by an overabundance of generated content, so given the scarcity of attention is only going up the next logical step is to generate the "people" that will consume the content, bots that craft reviews about what they "saw" and how they "felt" and have different "personalities" and constantly interact with each other.
They wouldn't have used copyrighted material if it wasn't a survival matter for them, but sure you go ahead and pretend that they just happen to use it and not really need it that much.
Very funny, the problem is more about the input than whatever the CPU is doing, as in chatGPT would be no more than a footnote without copyrighted material in all it's datasets.
In a world where art illustrations are being copied left and right by AI what is stopping the exact same thing to happen to typefaces? (And with it any license inconveniences)
