The initial comments that I am getting back are that there are a lot of loggers out there, but your's looks quite slick. What is that you feel differentiates your application from the other loggers out there?
Our company works with 2 prominent diabetes companies. I am going to let them know about this. I may be able to help get you some significant exposure on this if they find it interesting.
Sorry about all the duplicated replies about the meetup this week. For some reason the announcement of the actual meetup never got up-voted and not very many people saw it.
I think Techstars is a really cool program, and the founder dating thing looks like a good place to find other people to start businesses with, but I think it would be nice to just have an in person way to meet some of the folks who share a common interest in the community around Hacker News. I think a no pressure sort of event where the goal is to have a beer and meet other nerds in the Boulder area is what I am looking to put together. If people find other people to start businesses with, then that is great, but if they just have a beer and meet someone interesting, that is great too.
I remember some directory pages on Mosaic back in the days that seem very similar to a lot of pages on the web now. Maybe they need to take down all the web servers and replace with static html. :)
This is one of the big problems with the App store. If you develop for it, you are really at the mercy of Apple's decision process with regard to who can sell what in their store. It is their store, so they get to decide, but we as software developers need to decide if it is worth the risk for the potential reward you could see from having an app in their store. I personally am not developing for the app store because I do not like the decisions that I have seen Apple make.
I don't think they are being stealthy at all, which is a good thing. Most businesses make big changes as they evolve, which is also a good thing. Just seems a bit strange to me announcing that you are starting a company, but not really knowing what you are going to do.
Let me say I am not a fan of being stealth, but I do beleive that you should have more of an idea than these guys seem to have about what you are going to do before you announce you are starting a company and go out and get domain names and a logo. 2 points to them for being out in the open though.
