I knew how to code before going to the university to get a CS degree. Formal education taught me a lot more about the field than just coding. I wouldn't hire a person without a degree.

If certain groups of students are excluded because of their ethnicity, that is wrong and should be condemned. If certain groups are excluded because they did not have a lifestyle that nurtured their talent and therefore do not meet the requirements to join, their lifestyle needs to be structed differently so that then next time around they do meet the requirements. In the meantime, holding Asian students back is not going to solve the problem of other student having parents who don't recognize the importance of their education.

Whatever the problem is that is preventing you from moving, tell you boss about it and have him fund the move/get you out of your lease/etc..

If this is true, then remote workers are also not a 1:1 replacement for in-office staff.

Forgive student loans has to come with fully free education, since the people who give student loans will start to be more selective on who they give loans to, or stop all together and then nobody gets loans. I don't think either of these things will happen. We can solve the problem and only this generation will have to deal with it but stopping people from getting loans for stupid degrees that don't pay.

A problem I have seen working at lots of start ups is that some people are just horrible people and are toxic to the culture. I referring to the "Jeanie Beuler" types who insist that nobody have a good time while also getting the job done.

Discrimination in hiring is always harmful, what matters is if its acceptable. If you don't hire a high school drop out to be a physicist, he is objectively worse off (harmed). Even if you assume that men are better off than women (I don't) discrimination is harmful (they are worse off), but they wind up still better off than the woman so its acceptable.
