Not OP but I have a pair of nice IEMs, open and closed back headphones and a headphone amp on my computer.

For serious listening sessions I will still plug my IEMs into my phone, but the Airpods Pro are just really convenient and sound good enough that at this point, 90% of my mobile listening is done through them. The sound cancellation is nice and better than my sennheiser momentum m2s (audio quality on those is better than the airpod pros but they have apt-x which is the difference maker, but does not exist on ios yet)

I'm a big fan of Qobuz. It has human curated playlists and features, which is really nice. It's also truly lossless unlike MQA.

I'll agree with you that 90% of the time, I can't tell the difference. But for my most loved albums, I still prefer listening to lossless on my hifi system.

The quality is really bad. Terrible compression with blocky artifacts and poor black levels. My pirate IPTV service has significantly better image quality.

My biggest complaint after switching to Windows is how poorly the start menu does math. Half the time it tells me "results are unavailable" for simple arithmetic... I don't know if it makes a web query or something to calculate but it's frustrating.

This is so reductionist I really can't believe this is the top comment. What if your "product" is a web or app service that depends on user interactions? How can you actually know what your users are doing or how they're using your product if you can't track it?

Reddit seems to have just as much illegal content. All of this just seems like empty virtue signaling by tech companies way too late to actually change anything.

I think you need to differentiate between the "design" and the "experience". The design itself is good e.g. the wireframes of the website. The actual engineering behind the design is not good.

The amp stuff is beyond annoying. I click on "view more comments" from an amp page and it redirects me to a non amp page and then i have to click on view more comments again.

I think it looks better. Better fonts, better element spacing. It just does not perform very well and seems to have a lot of "state" issues or inconsistent design elements. Reading comments and browsing is slower than it used to be, but I prefer the new look to the old one.

I use both Windows and Mac but I would never consider Windows some patron saint. The telemetry and dark patterns in Windows are much worse than what Apple does. Windows literally advertises its own browser in different parts of your OS and will regularly change the default back to Edge after updates.

But overall I am pretty happy with Windows being my daily driver now that they have WSL.

A friend of mine works at the Intercept and has said that Glenn has been going off the rails for the past half a year and has alienated the entire staff at the Intercept, not just this specific editor. Apparently he's been planning to leave for a while, and from my friend's POV, this is Glenn's way of making himself the martyr and getting good publicity for himself and his patreon.

Yep. Our company switched to Figma and it's been leaps and bounds better for productivity. Having multiple people working on the same design file at the same time has been huge.
