Citation plz (no paleo blogs.)
markeroon··on Does Google crawl dynamic content?
We found the same thing with Angular. Ironic and annoying.
markeroon··on How Scientists Can Thrive in the Startup World
Maybe try for a little more rigor in your blog hosting.
markeroon··on Leave Work Unassigned and See Who Steps Forward
Eh, you'll save thousands by not having to commute.
markeroon··on Rocket Fiber Launches 100GB/s Internet Service in Downtown Detroit
Are there any interesting startups in Detroit now? Visited recently and I love the city, I'm curious if there's a decent tech scene.
markeroon··on Do Binaural Beats Really Affect Brainwaves?
Which beats do you use?

And now some of our beaches have Blue Flag certification. Incredible.
markeroon··on Vitalik Buterin, Creator of Ethereum, Talks Bitcoin’s Most Ambitious Successor
Ironic that you'd throw such an insult as an anonymous internet commenter. He's actually a great guy to chat with.
markeroon··on Ask HN: What are you doing to improve your health?
Best of luck to you.

markeroon··on “Today we moved into our new Facebook building”
N=1, sure, but I'm very extroverted and I strongly prefer a closed, single occupancy office.

There's nothing about being extroverted that makes you like concentrating less. ;)

markeroon··on Any stories of employees with equity successfully taking home over $1m? $500k?
Could you point me to some decent reading on the subject? I've asked around a bit but it's not really something that people like to talk about.
markeroon··on BitHound Announces Support for Bitbucket
Happy to see Dan's company doing well. I was CTO at a HyperDrive startup and Dan helped me on a number of occasions with our process. Very talented and intelligent guy.
markeroon··on Testosterone is the drug of the future
I am interested in this also.
markeroon··on I’m tired. So I’m selling my game that just went viral
No, I don't remember that. And I really hope that you're not a founder.
markeroon··on Melatonin
This is my problem too, and it normally happens when I am highly strung. I have had success with meditation, but during very stressful periods I still tend to awaken at 4am.
markeroon··on Why Startups Should Choose Canada Over Silicon Valley
As someone who works at a Toronto startup, I suggest that you consider more than one person's opinion. No city is perfect but there are tons of talented people here and there is substantial government funding available that, in my experience, has nothing to do with nepotism.
markeroon··on Want to Help People? Just Give Them Money
I'm going to check this out. Thanks.
markeroon··on Want to Help People? Just Give Them Money
Thank you for this story. I feel that the average person would have more empathy for the poor if they've ever experienced this type of situation. Happy to hear that there was light at the end of the tunnel.
markeroon··on Early Celtic 'Stonehenge' discovered in Germany's Black Forest
Agh, I guess. But orientated sounds terrible.
markeroon··on Early Celtic 'Stonehenge' discovered in Germany's Black Forest
It's oriented! For shame, ScienceDaily.
markeroon··on Courtney Love does the math (2000)
I may be wrong, but I recall that the first Arcade Fire LP (Funeral) was recorded very cheaply. It's a very unique sounding record, in a good way.
markeroon··on Nature Sounds generator
This is amazing. Thanks.
markeroon··on Bayesian stats book banned in China
I've been thinking about it, and this may not be it. It sounds like he already has a relationship with this publisher for domestic publishing.
markeroon··on Bayesian stats book banned in China
I think you nailed it.
markeroon··on U.S. warns Ottawa of WikiLeak release
I feel the same way.

Most of the people in this thread who oppose the leaks appear to be American citizens. I feel that we Canadians have a right to know how US policy is affecting our country behind closed doors.

markeroon··on How We're Wrecking Our Feet With Every Step We Take
It depends on the model you`re wearing. The Flow is waterproof, and the KSO Trek is made of leather. I wore the latter every day while running in the snow last winter in Southern Ontario.
markeroon··on In German Suburb, Life Goes On Without Cars (2009)
To be fair, I'm sure that the cyclists find the cars on highway 9 to be equally frustrating, especially when they're being treated like they don't belong there.

That is awesome -- it's almost unfathomable to your average commuter that the journey itself can be even better than what awaits one at the destination.

Getting soaked on the way to work can be a pain, but if one just carries a rain suit in his/her bag then this will never be an issue.
