Healthy twist on the Erlang philosophy.
mariusbutuc··on Major Service Outage at GitHub
Currently 98.9212% app server availability in the last month.

That means 7h 52m 49.7s of potential downtime/unavailability [1] in the last month.

And the trend of that percentage doesn't look that rosy.

This «Best parts of "What's New in Ecto 2.0"» http://cloudless.studio/articles/44-best-parts-of-what-s-new... does a pretty good job at summarizing it.

TL;DR: > According to Google statistics, Romania leads the way with a 6.55% adoption rate, followed by France with 4.67%. Japan is on the third place so far with 1.57% but it seems here “users still experience significant reliability or latency issues connecting to IPv6-enabled websites.”

mariusbutuc··on Ruby 1.9.3 via RVM on Mac OSX Lion: Success Story
The "success story" works just as fine without uninstalling Xcode: that's just "the bonus" - you can uninstall it if you don't use it for anything else.
mariusbutuc··on Technical Blogging: Turn your expertise into a remarkable online presence
Nice to find this shared here. Been blogging for almost 6 years now, yet I found many useful ideas and tips in Antonio's book. (Disclaimer: I work in Antonio's team, so I got to read the book from its very first chapters.)
mariusbutuc··on Show HN: My Technical Blogging book for hackers and founders is now in Beta
Disclaimer: Antonio is my colleague, so I had a chance to review most of it in advance.

In my opinion, even if you consider that your blogging skills have passed intermediate level, this book brings plenty of useful information, examples and ideas to inspire your blogging effort. Only wish I have read it before starting my own blogs.
