I think many towns/cities with good size liberal arts colleges are interesting and affordable - outside the big metro areas.

put up barriers. but ultimately it has to come from deep inside. i had a bad habit for 22 yrs - nail biting. i took a job after freelancing for 8 yrs and stopped cold turkey because I wanted to be presentable. I had tried to stop countless times before.

Do you have any memories/experiences of feeling confident and open, like AFTER being with people a lot or after public speaking?

My social anxiety is 100% when I am in my personal zone (working at desk). Its very hard to step away and deal property with people without being awkward. but after being w people or breaking the ice a bit, i feel more normal.

further: i was thinking karaoke meetups would be great for ppl to create a good/positive experience that would carry over for the rest of the week until the next karaoke.

I had a similar MVP in 2010 with the intent on building a curated news aggregator for sales territories. Once you define your geographic area (zipcodes/states/draw etc) and choose keywords and/or topics, your news feed will include any local or AP story that includes these keywords and geotagged within your territory.

typing BASIC code from Byte magazine into a Vic20 all Sunday, then debug into the evening. then joy! a game to play! No storage, keep it in ram until I get back from school.

I've been farming the development work out, so I can focus on the design, functionality and big picture items.

I left freelancing and took a job in a new industry (commercial real estate). It wasn't long before I found my SaaS opportunity and began building the MVP

I can understand. My experience working in non-profits: poor pay, in great need of talent, strong sense of purpose (you will spring out of bed and be content). anecdotal, but I've seen it with others as well.

Have you considered working IT/developer for a hospital or NGO or important govt agency? You might find fulfillment there as your work supports a good mission and outcome vs just another widget.

I am working on a platform to keep your health proactive, tied to your current ins coverage. you will get notices re: needed checkups, shots, etc. - as if you had a private physician's assistant. It will est what is covered vs out of pocket, recommended vs strongly recommended, etc., and stats. The dashboard is very user friendly - you can keep it simple or load it up with widgets. Notifications etc.

Can't wait to share here in a 2-4 months.

easy to log on w gmail. no issue. but the app only offered to find these attractions along my trip: camping, gas, store, etc.

am i missing something? seems like a great oppty to offer some exciting and unexpected options.

i would love a tool like this if it filled in the blanks with destinations that were new, exciting, unique, etc.

can you start over? write the app that does 1 simple stupid thing that adds a lot of value or unique value. then go all out marketing that thing like its the latest iPhone release. embed your marketing in your target market's daily lives. get lucky, often. good luck!

Does your api offer routing like Mapbox's Matrix api?

I think he or she had sufficient time to vet your list so send a firm email stating to 'destroy the list and do not share. and that you hope to heard from him/her soon.

if you feel he/she conned you to serve his other master, then name them publicly.

by the time you've gotten thru grad school, you've most likely have accepted the dogma of animal research. then there's little time for pause as its a mad dash for collecting good data, grants/funding, publishing. of course some funding agencies (NIH) have lab inspections but these can be real or a farce depending.

How did the public get wind of it if it was an internal research project?

I search dribbble and get ideas then create a simple vector logo in Illustrator based on the one I chose.

The problem I found was/is an industry paying people do create X analysis/report routinely. I wrote an app to do this in the browser using new APIs. So I know the industry, the people who need and use these reports and the complexities and costs in making them. I found this opportunity by automating part of my day job.

Congrats. curious why you don't list the grid of services on your main page? do you use PPC or other lead gen practices you can share?

nothing short of networking, getting to know people's problems and being their go-to consultant.

I was a freelancer for 8 yrs then on a lark took a job from a client. I didn’t know anything about their industry but 1 yr later and being in mtgs w their clients I hav found a few strong needs for saas and I know who to hit up as first clients. I am too tired to prog after work so am having freelancers make the app mvp. Getting closer to a very real product that will be gobbled up by a rather large but lo tech industry.

nice work! fyi I made a YT video summary to PDF tool years ago. I made it to create print outs of 'how to' and exercise videos that have many steps.
