I agree with your point: the title is sensationalist. The difference between teaching and owning a coffee shop (and the others examples) is that few people will try to tell you how to handle your coffee shop while a lot think they know better than you how their children should be taught.

I am also very surprised by the lack of outrage in media, either mainstream or even tech related (including blogs and HN / netsec).

I also use byobu but byobu uses preconfigured screen or tmux configuration. You can choose the tmux or screen backend with the commands byobu-tmux or byobu-screen.

Your second example actually involves killing people, even if it was in an attempt to help US ground forces.

What I did is try to use the cipher : ssh -c aes256-gcm@openssh.com (host)

If you get "no cipher found", you're clear, if you can connect you can disable the cipher (while keeping others) with this line in you sshd_config:

Ciphers aes128-ctr,aes192-ctr,aes256-ctr,aes128-cbc,3des-cbc,blowfish-cbc,cast128-cbc,aes192-cbc,aes256-cbc
