Does anyone have a suggested template letter for this?

They also have a very cozy intelligence relationship with the US government and, along with the UK, Canada and Australia, are in fact classed as a "2nd party partner" by the United States. [1]

mainevent··on Did Evernote remove all references to 2fa from forums after they got hacked?
Me also but have regularly checked their 2fa threads because it's a feature I'm interested in so was surprised to see them gone so soon after the hack. As you say, could be unrelated.

Haven't posted a question no.

Love the idea. Just downloaded.

I agree with some of the other comments that using it in some of the places I've travelled would be unrealistic due to battery life.

Would be great if I could import a csv of my Flight Diary data [1]

mainevent··on We Are Now One Year Away From Global Riots, Complex Systems Theorists Say
Living in Clapham Junction, an area that was severely affected, during the London riots in 2011 I would say the opposite was true. Whilst many parts of the city were being trashed, the news struggled to keep up. It was much worse and widespread than they were able to depict.

Video I took at the end of my street whilst a local shop was torched: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d4n7uCeV5nU&feature=plcp

FWIW, earthquakes are different to riots. I did the same as you in Christchurch, New Zealand recently after the earthquake there and would agree, the majority of the city was untouched with the epicentre being destroyed.

mainevent··on New Zealand: Wish you were here?
Definitely agree here. There's a violent undercurrent in New Zealand that you'd never see in 10 days. Gangs & drugs are also a big problem.
mainevent··on On Living Below Your Potential
There's a great quote from Larry Smith's TED talk "Why you will fail to have a great career" that you might like:

"What you want is passion. It is beyond interest. You need 20 interests, then one of them may grab you more than anything else and then you may have found your greatest love in comparison to all of the other things that interest you, and that's what passion is"

Couldn't agree more. Great user experience.
mainevent··on Why you suck at estimating – a lesson in psychology
Wondering whether this article should credit Daniel Kahneman's "Thinking, Fast and Slow" as these ideas seem to come fairly directly from that book.

You select an instrument and it plays according to the graph displayed. Am seeing this on the main vistors overview page of the standard reporting tab of the new analytics version.
mainevent··on Ask HN: Do you invest in the stock market?
In addition to Random Walk Down Wall Street, Daniel Kahneman's Thinking Fast & Slow has a great section about this topic.
mainevent··on Please let this not be the future of reading on the web
Definitely. Actually read this article with it. http://blog.evernote.com/2011/11/16/introducing-evernote-cle...
mainevent··on Google+ Opens to All
Exactly the same here. Still check it infrequently but all I see is tumbleweed.

Sticking to his article:

"Mail crashes all the time." "Fullscreen apps have a habit of just vanishing. They’re running, but they’re not showing." "Finder periodically decides you don’t need to see all your windows any more." "iTunes boot time is measured in aeons." "The “Something has crashed, send a report to Apple” window might as well be your Desktop Picture."

Happen to agree that Launchpad and Mission Control aren't great but that's just my personal opinion.

On both machines I upgraded from the previous OS.

mainevent··on [dead]
I would have to disagree. Have experienced at least 5 of the things that he mentions on two separate Macs.

Address book, which he doesn't mention, has also been redesigned and had a number of very useful features removed.
