thoughts anyone?
mahesh_gkumar··on Ask HN: Was your App ever rejected or pulled from the App Store?
One of our apps was rejected for poor UI design. We reworked the UI a bit and we got in.
mahesh_gkumar··on Ask HN: How can I get my team to adopt SCM?
Where is the source stored currently? On the hard disk of the one person who usually writes the code? If so, what happens if he quits? Or if his machine gets hacked? In short, if you loose your one copy of the code, what happens then? How do you restore your application/source.
mahesh_gkumar··on Ask HN: What JS framework do you use for web apps?
Angular.js
mahesh_gkumar··on Ask HN: Can I automate document gathering for research?
If most of your searches are happening on a browser, I would recommend something like Selenium http://docs.seleniumhq.org/ . Its a browser testing tool, but it can automate some of the things that you are looking to do. Selenium can also be extended if you want to.
mahesh_gkumar··on Ask HN: What can a potential startup founder do living in the US on an H1-B?
There is a legal way you can be a founder and sponsor your own H1b. Check out http://www.quora.com/Can-a-H1B-holder-work-for-a-startup-as-.... Get a very good lawyer though. I am on an h1b as well, and the only thing I can recommend is, take care of your legal status first before starting a company. US is not that kind to legal immigrants. Now if you are illegal, all the politicians will line up behind you.
mahesh_gkumar··on Ask HN: What all things can a developer on H4 visa do?
H4 is a dependent visa for spouses. You can legally stay in the US but cant work (you won't get an SSN). Only thing that you can do is keep coding on side projects and wait till you find a company willing to sponsor you H1.
