I do ultras at MAF pace 180-age=heart rate. I've dong 50K and 13M mountain race, each about 6 hours, I'm slow. I ate nothing, I came in about a 1/2 lighter, that's about it.
Gawd, each decade we extend our "reason" beyond what we thought possible. We've always been at our limits. His weak example of batters is simplistic and silly. Batters study the hand position so that they can recognize the pitch type and make a probabalistic decision. Same goes for goalies who stop unseen pucks, position, probabilities, stick/ice/shooter all rolled up into "Only god saves more!".
The ruse is that Trump is making money on his hotels, that's small potatoes. This is how he's making big money. Don't be fooled, he's a wicked genius who is fleecing the world.
I honestly hate this "false baseline" story line that applies to almost all anti AI/automation comments. A person who is focused may be better than self driving vehicle but even that is debatable. However, given real life self driving are already much safer than real life human drivers. Think about pedestrians and bike rider safety too!!
Nuke is too dangerous and can't be deployed everywhere. Solar and wind is much lower cost to install and operate. Plus, low risk. The more distributed solutions will win.
"Superintelligent" AI is so far away that we are wasting our time thinking about it. In the meantime the economy is being completely turned over by very narrow AI which should be our major focus.
Yes, human "experts", and when you go to your neighborhood hospital Dr, you are not getting (typically) an "expert" in the field, so, by AI performing as well as human "experts" it is provides vastly improved diagnosis for patients. So irritating about the human expertise false baseline of expertise. So defensive. Same with self driving cars, already it is clearly superior to the "average, distracted, unpredictable" driver which is the actual baseline to beat.
Yes we do, it's called humans. This continual bashing of AI is so funny. We never measure the baseline of human activity which is chock full of stupidity, illogic and unreasonableness. Of course, AI is human directed, but it will likely be many times more predictable.
Netflix is so hard to use. They constantly recommend their latest releases when I have no interest at all. My behavior shows what I want to watch. I have a "My List" filled out. I've been on it for 20 years. Their motivations are obviously not aligned. Youtube recommendations are an example of a working system. Netflix is toast.
