Automated backups are useful. However how often can you backup? If you are hacking/experimenting backing up after every change seems too resource intensive
I think there is plenty of growth opportunity for Netflix
1- After hours trading is notorious for volatility
2- HBO announcement today
3- Subscriber growth did not meet expectations
Are all likely affecting the stock. However when it's all said in done who else is competing with against netflix?
Ha, time to dust up my guitar. I've always wanted to learn but know nothing of musical notation. This should give me another excuse get back to learning
excuse my ignorance but does that mean if one is to use a locally administered address a device is free to take whatever they please?
What would be advantage of paying to the IEEE for a universally administered block?
Atmel AVR micros for the nodes and an ARM SBC to run Linux on as the border router for the controllers
As far as the peripherals are concerned temp sensors/light sensor/humidity sensor for monitoring.
For control mostly our own hardware Relay or PWM output to control/dim ballasts or LED fixtures etc
I am currently working with a startup company developing controls for solar water heating system, commercial lighting/climate control/monitoring and finally monitoring for large conventional water heaters - exciting i know ;) -.
I am glad to see Contiki getting some "air time" I have been working with this for the past year and I think it has great potential.
One of the great things that Contiki has going for itself is the community. It's very active and growing quite rapidly and it's very welcoming to newcomers.
I was excited about the BBB specially because of the NAND Flash availability.
In similar fashion as the RPi back in the day lead time is (as far as I can tell) in months
That's a shame, I wish I had known about this before I might have been able to put something together and present. The start-up I work with is heavily invested in developing mesh networking devices.
Personally I still haven't found a tablet that fulfill my needs to "create". Tablets are good (maybe even great) as consumption devices. However I have found that the closer a table gets to a laptop (add keyboard and bigger display) the easier it is for me to create content
I love this idea and I'd be interested in backing something like this. However I do worry about the liability of something that is constantly in flux like the US tax code
Correct me if I am wrong but it is my understanding that you can still have read problems on an RO SD card. In fact I was recently reading a Micron Application note that explained that the mere act of reading it could cause bit-flips.
It's about time they put some FLASH on-board. SD card has proven time and time again an unreliable medium. You never know if the device would boot up after a "dirty shutdown"
Don't try to file w/o a lawyer, you will come to regret it. It might be cheaper to do so ($$ wise) but in the end you will be treated with more respect if you have legal representation standing behind you.
source (anecdotal): I went through the process of obtaining visa(s) with and without legal representation
What about code generation tools that matlab has been providing for the past few years? When I left the automotive industry the adoption of these tools seemed like a sure thing
I don't know what I am missing here but after reading the article I came out with the following:
"If you want to be a good programmer you should do a job well done"
In the silly discussion, I do have a couple questions.
Can this be used in a machine that's not always connected to the internet?
Considering the ranking method is decided via votes, won't (theoretically) results change from one day to the other?
