magnusgraviti··on EVM-UI – visual tool to interact with EVM-based smart contracts
Yes — collaboration features are currently 100% free. In the future, we may introduce paid plans for larger teams or organizations.

That said, we plan to keep them free for individuals and small teams.

Let us know if you have any suggestions or use cases — we’re shaping the roadmap based on real user needs!

magnusgraviti··on Gopher images for the Go developer community
We have already added licensing. Now it must be ok.
magnusgraviti··on Gopher images for the Go developer community
Then we should write which images were improved from original site and our own images put with CC license?
magnusgraviti··on Gopher images for the Go developer community
I also don't think too much about licenses problem and make things instead. Please, help us to add right licenses where appropriate and feel free to add yours to keep all such artwork in one place.
magnusgraviti··on Gopher images for the Go developer community
Hey guys!

We will put right license here. Just tell us what to write to not break other licenses. We updated old images and added own new.

So how to be here? I think we should add license of original authors (while Olga updated them and put into ai). And put own license (free to any use) to others. Could you make right pull request here?

P.S. Work is not aimed to harm anyone and we

magnusgraviti··on Show HN: Breach – A modular browser built on Chromium and Node.js
Like the design and idea. It is not usable at the moment but I'd like the project to get stable and ready for day-to-day usage.
magnusgraviti··on New flynn.io site
Awesome! Thank you for such great news!
magnusgraviti··on LXC 1.0 Released
Is flynn.io using LXC or something Docker-like?
magnusgraviti··on LXC 1.0 Released
The same thoughts here.

Docker 0.8 added a lot of new features and fixed a lot of bugs but it is still work in progress. I.e. you can't rename containers and have to recreate (remove and create) them.

and thank you guys for the release!

magnusgraviti··on New flynn.io site
I noticed that too. They have demo video but the project is still work in progress.

The other interesting thing here is that they use Go inside.

magnusgraviti··on New flynn.io site
It seems they added docs from github repo and updated site design.
magnusgraviti··on Videos from Europe Venture Summit 2013
As one of participants I can say it was an amazing event. As far as I know soon there will be Dave McClure video too.
magnusgraviti··on Django 1.6 released
1.7 release will be very interesting. Instead of South there will be migrations support. At DjangoCon EU Andrew Godwin told about his vision of it. i.e. if you have 200 migrations you'll be able to merge them into 1.

Form fields will get extended support like input[type="email"]

Django comments are now deprecated.

Congratulations to everyone using Django!

magnusgraviti··on ‘Fuck’ in Linux Kernel
I remember few years ago making the same experiment while downloaded gentoo-sources and found much more at that time. :)
magnusgraviti··on Marc Andreessen:'Every Single Idea From The Dotcom Era Was Correct'
In my opinion it hugely depends on idea implementation. Good team with bad idea can turn it in a profitable business and the opposite.
magnusgraviti··on Python Web Frameworks' Complexity
I.e. wheezy.web doesn't use middleware + tags for csrf. It is Python3 without 2to3 crap. And I agree with Aaron Swartz that framework must handle input, output and how to work with server. Logic, templates, databases must be free to choose. Wheezy.web is a set of modules here so we must not install bunch of stuff like Django for something simple. And we can use all of it for something difficult.
magnusgraviti··on Python Web Frameworks' Complexity
I visited KyivPy where the author of Wheezy.Web described his project. So I want to share own thoughts about it.

It has all basic things you would like to have. I mean you can work with templates engine you want, forms, middlewares etc.

Speaking about Django we can find it is not just Django. It is also hundreds of django apps like django-social-auth, South, django-celery, django-mptt etc.

This new framework has no such huge community for now. On the other side the author did a good work. You can use pretty complete framework on Python3 when the most of others can't offer the same. And it is not 2to3. If I correctly remember impressions of the code it was written on Python3 and then ported to python2.

So, I like it. You can use classes or functions for handling requests. You have modules so you can install just wheezy.http and not so many other parts and I believe we should choose the right tool to solve the problem. In one case it can be Django, in others we can take Wheezy.web.

magnusgraviti··on YC W13 Applicants
No matter what the message will be I am already working on the project to finish the prototype till the end of the month.

I believe YC is an awesome opportunity and even I we'll be rejected the project will be launched.

Good luck everyone to get to the ready prototype and go on to the big things from it ;)

magnusgraviti··on Python 3.3.0 released
At KyivPy#8 I heard about new lightweight framework supporting Python3 - wheezy.web. But as you said it is not a mainstream among web-developers.

I think the most popular Django apps will move to Python 3 as a lot of people are interested in it. Time show us how Django with Python3 support will change the current situation.

magnusgraviti··on Python 3.3.0 released
Attending PyCon Ukraine 2011 it was very interesting to hear about Distutils2. But I see that in the end they are still not in Python3.

But even without it I am going to try Python3 in my projects (hello Django 1.5, Tornado, Wheezy.web, jinja2 and a lot of others).

magnusgraviti··on Akorn / wheezy.web / overview — Bitbucket
Just listening about it on a local geeks meeting so maybe someone find it also useful for some project.
magnusgraviti··on Introducing the Command Bar
My point of view is based on personal experience. I explain it:

Git was initially a set of commands from terminal. A lot of programmers use terminal everyday. Even now I have terminal opened for doing different stuff. This terminal-nature of git itself and of github audience makes it obvious it would be used.

The other interesting question is how it would be implemented. With my repos on github (as opened as private) I think it would be great to have an opportunity to do some set of things from the site CLI.

P.S. I understand there are a lot of those who prefer GUI over CLI but I believe I am not the only one who wants to have CLI also available.

magnusgraviti··on Introducing the Command Bar
I'd like to search for repos, create new repos, create initial files, edit existing, star/unstar, watch/ignore, work with messages etc.
magnusgraviti··on Introducing the Command Bar
I think it would be even better to have some terminal emulator on github. Even now with so improved UIs I like command line interface.
magnusgraviti··on Google+: 400 Million Registrations, 100 Million Monthly Active Users
Even with this G+ looks like a social service for IT-related people. A lot of programmers I know use G+.

But other people prefer to stay with those social services where the most of their friends are. So happened it is not G+ but Facebook and other (e.g. VKontakte).

Just noticed.

magnusgraviti··on Indragie Karunaratne - Blog - 1, 2, Open Source
Two opposite thoughts reading this article (I was Sonora user since its 1.0 beta version till current 2.0 beta):

1) Their decision gives another cool project open source as TextMate 2. On the other side iTunes 11 seems to take a lot from Sonora application and all iTunes users win from it. 2) Corporations copy key ideas of small developer groups and such developers aren't protected from losing their revenue.

magnusgraviti··on How YC S12 Companies Make Money
It would be interesting to compare YC startups considering also their income so we can see not only chosen business models but also how much they earn.

But I wonder if we can get such information.

magnusgraviti··on Experimental Python 3 support in Django
I believe Django on Python3 can finally bootstrap Python3 migration. Huge community and a lot of django pluggable applications with Python3 will make a strong basis.

Anyway thank you for your work!

P.S. Waiting for PostGIS 2.0 support along with Python3 in Django 1.5 :)

magnusgraviti··on A Django Admin Wishlist
Thanks! I forgot to add it here in my post :)
magnusgraviti··on A Django Admin Wishlist
Django admin filters aren't as flexible as we sometimes want them to be.

I opened a ticket and would be glad also to fix it (as Rob Pike says something like don't just say about bug, fix it!). But I'd like to have someone from django developers to give me some feedback if it makes sense at all etc.

I agree with the author how much django admin could be better as developers we can fix it, aren't we? ;)
