What is your experience with the medical device registration process so far? Is such medical innovation well recepted or does regulation seem to largely benefit established players?
I think for regular GPT (not instruction tuned) you could just start a wikipedia article verbatim and it would likely continue reciting.
For generic words like "text text text ..." it would start random musings on the soviet union and the star wars etc. But it had lots of made up characters so not training data directly.
Recently I got disconnects for such prompts wondering it got censored by openai.
I assume these companies are standing up for a moral principle.
The principle is that communities in general are incapable of hate so any such accusation is worthless at best or actively harmful?
Or is it that in the specific instances of A and B it is not true? But then it is a weaker principle because truth sometimes can not be known for certain.
This probably has evolutionary roots, as men have a much higher variability in the number of offsprings they can have, therefore great 'wins' have greater payoffs for them.
The purpose of the election is to 1 .: measure public support of candidates. 2.: convince the population that it has been fairly measured.
It is quite clear that some of the last two elections failed at the convincing part.
Give everyone mandatory 3 hours off on election day(which would be saturday so most people dont work anyway) and you are fine. Noone is "disenfranchised". This appears an excuse not a serious issue and just about every country managed to solve it.
just to reiterate. Dont just focus on candidates lieing about fraud. They do it. Also focus on independent verifiability of the fairness of the process where the USA is severely lacking.
There is complaint that people don't trust the elections, but there are common sense methods to improve said trust that don't involve following links to .edu websites. You know that a lot of people don't trust scientists.
I am not saying there is fraud. (I do say however that the candidates of the two partes and the results would be quite different if above changes were introduced.)
These are some of the bad practices that are generally rejected by countries that present themselves as democratic.
Edit: also, how is it "their senate" this time, but "our democracy" in one of your previous comments?
Have you lost your US citizenship in the last 2 hours?
Maybe they want to save face for politicians who - people will argue - mishandled this crisis.
Maybe it is just not really true, despite some people saying it on the internet.
Moreover he explicitly says that NATO/US does not want to expand to Ukraine as it is not a vital strategic interest to the United States, instead US will have to focus on Asian alliances to counter China.
Very promising project, (and seems very good fit for HN too) keep up the good work!
Meanwhile, as discussed, Russia, Ukraine and EU have a lot to lose in a devastating and bitter war. At the same time Russia is obliged to keep stability and relative prosperity in the region for its citizens at home and Russian nationals abroad.
The best route for Russia is to defend the status quo as passively as possible while waiting for the Ukrainians to realize that for the "west" Ukraine's destruction is about as good as Russia's. And I think this route is feasible for Putin, so this will happen(not much).
Zuckerberg should probably be compensated for the wealth he created, but he is not entitled to this level of control over sociaty.
Signor Lardera was quite a gentleman.
