Some MBA poisoned it?
That’s just the internet isn’t it?
Not sure we can blame Apple for that, but I’m sure they could cook up a decent blocker if they wanted.
You might if there were only two restaurants and both were really meaty.
Yes, there are more than 2 phone OS options but nearly the whole of the market is those 2.
I laughed. I have a work HP machine. The click is only available on the bottom half or third of the trackpad, with no visual indication of the area. It takes a strong push. It’s bad. The scroll is shiite too.
When you get one that doesn’t work right, you really miss a good one.
I find the Mac better for scrolling, clicking, gestures and zooming. It’s rejection of eg palm input and the size of the touch pad are great.
Like the FIFA peace prize.
America was a bulwark against Chinese expansion, and that ended a while back, maybe with WTO entry?
International relations under this regime is a new poison, and is aiding some awful regimes.
What view do you have on the trajectory of the U.S.? Is America ascending or declining?
The success China is having isn’t something that’s occurring in isolation. There is a void and they are filling it.
Bezos has been working with Trump. The instability has been hugely exacerbated by Trump. The issue lies at home.
A lack of ads is an argument for more downtime.
There needs to be more rage at search in Mail.app.
It’s quicker to rollback through them all than it is to use search, but when you get tens or hundreds a day it’s excruciating.
Please Apple, fix email search.
We have a dumb system here in New Zealand. Most people seem to know their height in feet/inches and weight in kilograms.
Tipo 00 is great for making pasta and pizza, but it can be hard to get.
I as 50g or so to a batch of normal bread to help it out. It’s pretty unscientific but it works.
Also: don’t spill it. If makes glue and is hard to clean off. It sets like rock.
It good when making pizza and makes bread rise nicely.
If you make sourdough, have a crack at using standard supermarket flour and then try adding some organic stone ground or other expensive flour with special snob factor.
I am far from expert but notice a big difference.
(I’d say to try 100% organic stoneground but getting a good rise can be quite hard).
Here in New Zealand you aren’t required to have insurance at all, although every gets healthcare and lost wages paid for (ACC) in cases of injury, which is a kind of insurance.
Wayno picked a difficult market.
This and the parent comment might be correct, but also, the US has one of the largest intelligence agencies in the world and the US defence budget dwarfs everyone else’s.
They failed spectacularly in the role they exist to perform. This deserves criticism.
For reference: I’m in a household of three. Over the last month (winter, when n case that matters) we averaged 7.9kwh per day.
I recently did the maths on switching to a heat pump hot water cylinder and the payback was surprisingly long at 5-7 years.
I want to cool the house (so have waste heat) but also want to warm my water, so make heat. In winter I warm my house, except for the fridge where it’s trying to cool its contents.
If there was any overlap or coordination it would surely be possible to have less hardware, working smarter and using less power.
The US has effective run this on itself for the past few years. The Chinese look fairly benign in comparison.
If the acceleration was too great but survivable, what happens? I can’t imagine my back, knees or ankles would like it.
Increasing the acceleration a little bit more than that (eg to 1%) would make a difference.
