Might make sense if the Chromebook can be degoogled and set up with a clean Linux distro. Barring that, a regular laptop with Linux may be an option.
Ugh is there a regular text version I can read at my own pace?
Also why light text on black background? Hurts my eyes and is very difficult to read.
Guess I’ll wait for someone with more patience and better eyesight to maybe provide a summary or something :)
Um. Perpendicular lines intersect at some point.
Parallel lines never touch, maybe that’s a better geometric analogy.
Of course, for most people things that are “parallel” would seem to be in close agreement.
Only that’s not what they’re selling us - they say autonomous cars are safer than humans, fewer accidents per mile driven, faster reaction times yadda yadda. I think this implies quality and not respecting speed limits is not something that sounds very high-quality. At least not while they have to share the road with humans.
Self driving cars are supposed to obey the same rules as human drivers.
Some Ubuntu repository urls may live in the affected Canonical infrastructure and those would be affected, but you can switch your apt sources list file to, for example, a country mirror and you’ll be mostly ok.
Also I don’t know about you but these days I welcome stuff that allows me to stay away from the damn phone.
Also discourse.ubuntu.com is still up.
So maybe not malice, but certainly a level of ineptitude I don’t expect from a crucial vendor from a tool that’s become essential for many developers.
(I don’t care, I do just fine when Claude is down or refuses to help me (it has happened) though)
So, at least better than GitHub, right? :)
