I got anecdata of people shopping for gargantuan 3-row SUVs so they can accommodate the third child seat. Most people don’t seem to mind as it’s “only” a monthly payment. (Over 8 years it’s a fortune in interest let alone the actual cost of the vehicle but most people don’t think that far ahead)
I used to maintain a legacy public IdP with a bespoke saml implementation that predated almost anything and was a nightmare to work with. I always wanted to migrate to one login. Luckily I left that job before embarking in such a nightmarish project.
Some people can’t seem to live without YouTube though.
The rule is fairly simple as it was taught to me - if the word (apple) begins with a vowel sound, use “an” to avoid cacophony. Same way one uses “o” (means “or” in Spanish) but “u” if the next word begins with a vowel.
What matters is the sound though, not the character - so it’s not as trivial to algorithmize. Eg. A hammock, an hour.
What’s preventing the editor from using one of your prompts/tooling and replacing you entirely?
There’s zero value in sharing ai-generated output unless your ai has access to something nobody else’s does on which to base things. If all it’s doing is web research you should share your prompt instead. That way people don’t have to deal with ai-written walls of text.
I’ve also seen/heard good things about frame.work for Linux.
Heh fun to see I’ve literally been using Linux since before this person was born.
So if my commute is only 20 minutes I shouldn’t own a car? :)
