livestyle··on What you can't say (2004)
1. It wasn't his job. It was the YC network he was thrown out of.

"Now: let me be absolutely clear. I do not believe Trump is a fascist. I’ve been consistent in that belief ever since he began running. I prefer to label Trump a “petty authoritarian” — the term “fascist” has always struck me as spectacularly inapplicable."

Nails it.

I know things aren't exactly the same as they were in 08.. but I found this quote fascinating.

"Data such as engagement with tweets or Facebook Live videos have been taken into account. The result is that Trump has overtaken the engagement numbers of Barack Obama's peak in 2008 – the year he came into power – by 25 percent."

livestyle··on Moving Forward on Basic Income
> No, we have a "growing returns to capital" boom, and fund it by taxing capital the same as other income, rather than tax favoring it.

Could you please provide some sort of example of this?

> Welfare is not the same as BI, and has different structural incentives, so there is no reason to expect that people will respond to BI the same as they do to means-tested welfare programs.

I'm well aware they are not the same. However I work with many who are on wellfare and understand their mindset a good % of people who will be on BI will be these people.
