I know things aren't exactly the same as they were in 08.. but I found this quote fascinating.

"Data such as engagement with tweets or Facebook Live videos have been taken into account. The result is that Trump has overtaken the engagement numbers of Barack Obama's peak in 2008 – the year he came into power – by 25 percent."

Means nothing because it doesn't differentiate positive engagement from negative. Trump is so widely hated and mocked around the net that I'm not at all surprised he has a very high level of engagement.

I think you should read that article again.. it actually takes into account sentiment.
